The preorder issue shouldn't matter for the Club though, at least not for convention packages. They charge those amounts right away so it isn't like they are waiting to charge you when you get to the con.

I think they are hesitant to go the Paypal route because people can file dispute a lot easier than a CC.
Plus aren't pre-orders not allowed on Paypal or is it eBay?
I still maintain Paypal isn't any safer.
I bet someone at the Club got a laptop stolen & all the info was on there.
Google Checkout/Wallet is another option similar to Paypal. They basically have the same fees as Paypal too.

The saddest thing is that it sounds like most of us didn't notice. I didn't even give it a thought until it was mentioned.

I actually somewhat enjoy the magazine, and I barely noticed that it hadn't arrived.

Then they simply should run their operation in a way that people wouldn't want to file disputes.
Sure nothing is perfect, but if they're so scared about disputes from the start, then it's clear that they have big problems that should be fixed before opening the doors again.
