Jim Blanc was founsd wandering in the aftermath of a battle when the GI Joe revolutionaires found him. "Jim Blanc", as he was called, had an amnesiac disorder and could not remember his entire past. The GI Joes told him of their mission and what they were up against; Blanc agreed to join them because he recognized that warfare was his first instinct.
