As deadly as his namesake, Fer-de-Lance is utterly ruthless, completely devoid of mercy and emotion, he seldom speaks, but lets his actions speak for himself. Prefers to use antiquated weapons from the Cobra Inc Armament Archive on missions. Normally carries a long range dual missile launcher and a special issue AK-47 laser assault rifle, but has been known to more modern weapons. An expert in nearly all forms of hand-to-hand combat, which he demonstrates by taking on several opponents at once, also qualified in the use of all Cobra armaments and artillery, both modern and antique.

"I wish we where as lucky as the old team of Joes; they just had Major Bludd to deal with, but we have to survive Fer-de-lance. Nightbeat told us that FER-DE-LANCE once took on a group of Corp-sec Storm troopers (disgruntled at him getting overdue credit on a successful mission), armed with only his antiquated Ak-47. Out of the 8 fully armed Storm troopers, 3 survived with ONLY broken bones, 4 where dispatched with a well placed shot through their visors, and the final one had his neck snapped like a twig....and Rer-de-Lance didn't even break a sweat. Even Inside Cobra Inc, Rumors abound about his true Identity, some wonder if he is even human."

Additional: His pension for older Cobra weapons with historical significance has resulted in him attacking Heavy Metal on several occasions. Fer-de-Lance is apparently after his weapon, a Gyro-stabilized cryogenically-cooled mini chain gun created by Cobra. This particular weapon was used by a S.A.W viper to murder several members of the original G.I.Joe team, and apparently FER-DE-LANCE wishes to use it for a similar purpose.
