last comic con i went to they had people playing as gi joe characters. do any of you dress up as joe characters. i think if this becomes more part of the fandom, you might see gi joe alongside stormtroopers security at your next comic con.

If you count garter belts, stockings and corsets at home in 'secrecy', then yes, CabanaJack does apply.

Yes, at Joe conventions there are costume contests, etc. Do a search on this forum of last years Atlanta con and you'll see some pics;

We had someone dress up as Snake-Eyes at the last Canadian Joe Meet (Canadianjoecon.com) - people loved it, especially the kids.

It's not a secret if you tell everybody, you [LASER BLAST]!

So yeah, if you want to save like 50% on your JoeArmory purchase, send John photos of you in GI Joe or Cobra costumes. The more skin the better.

I went to th' G.I.*JOE con back in 2003 here in th' Bay Area & I while there, changed into blue camo BDU's with a matchin' bandana & black web gear. I put COBRA patches on my sleeves & I was th' only one there dressed up. Some dude even took a picture o' me.

I'm currently gettin' a few 'JOE & COBRA uniforms put together. It's a slow process due ta money problems but next time I hit a convention, I'll be there as a 'JOE or COBRA.

I prefer to go as masked characters 'cause I don't wanna shave off my big ol' sideburns.
Some o' them 'JOE's though, guess I'll get a razor.

2006: Went to Joecon as Heavy Duty

2007: Went as Stalker in the Viet Nam 3 pack,(Had two bddies dress as Tommy Arashikage and "Classified")

2008: Planning on going as the dreadnok Burnout.

Yeah, I cosplay, although being black, Im Limited to the black characters or characters with masks. (I already have my original Shockwave character.

actually, dressing up is kinda fun, it gets you into the swing of things, and definetly gets your picture in a bunch of peoples scrapbooks....

If Marlon Wayons can be Ripcord you can be whomever you want!

Alpine and Iceberg were two of my favorite Joes growing up, but I suspect any attempt to dress like either of them will not be well received.

Elvis spent time in the Army. I just hope that no one suggests that they should dress up as the larger 70's Elvis.

Burnout?! That's groovy. I've got brown hair & can grow a full beard AND I ride a Harley. I'd like t' be Torch. I've always wanted t' get a handfull o' guys who ride that could pull off th' Dreadnoks with me.

We'd all ride on down t' th' convention as a "gang."

Yeah, I'm a G.I.*JOE fan-boy.

I dressed up like a Cobra trooper last Halloween and probably will do something like that again this year. I did the candy at the door for KB so I wanted something I thought was cool. I had fun.
