What do you do with the your customs, that now are being released by Hasbro? I rember when the 25tha line first started that someone made just about the whole og13 at the time.

That's why I stopped with Star Wars customs and just stuck to miniatures. I tend to try to do customs I know a company wont make, but this is a good question, one I often wonder, but knowing hasbro's track record, some peoples customs are probably better than the Hasbro one.

Yeah, that's why I don't do a lot of actual Joe customs here at JoeCustoms. I'd rather tweak whatever Hasbro's gonna give us than wasting time, effort, and parts; when I could use all that to make somebody I have a near-zero chance of ever getting in 18th scale.

I mostly stick to making new characters that way I know for sure Hasbro will not release something like it. Got some ideas for existing characters that haven't been done in the toy form, but like some others I'm holding out to see if that character gets released or not.

Every so often I'll think of something that seems way off the Hasbro make list. Was 99% sure that Hasbro would not do a Road Pig or they would just use bad parts so I made my own. Lots of other minor Joes and Cobras that seem like a safe bet to do yourself. On the off chance Hasbro does the character then a little customizing a second time will get me something else.

Enter them in a Hasbro-sponsored contest and make one that seems to have a sizable portion of the online Joe community.

Well, I customised every character in the original 13 except for Snake Eyes. Having said that, I did give Snakes a clour make-over to an all black look. As far as I am concerned, these figures ARE my original Joe roster. I have picked up one or two of the new ones, but just for customising. I was going for a grittier, darker edgy look for my figures:
