I think Targets get stuff when they need it, they don't have tons of stuff in the back like people think, they might have a half empty case of figures here and there, but I'm pretty sure their stuff is ordered when they need it, unless it's some sort of special where they order extra for an endcap.
I was told by this manager that their stuff is ordered by the computer for restocks, they usually have nothing to do with ordering, like Walmart, where a manager can pull up the items on their triquarter things, and order what they want.
As for dates, it's always different for me. There's a local Walmart that's opened till 11pm here, and whenever I go there, they usually bring out the pallets around 10:30 EVERY NIGHT, but I swear, they must have the laziest toys employees, cause it's always empty, that or people pallet shop before it gets a chance to hit the aisle(I won't lie, I've done it in the past

).
Target stocks their stuff every night also, and has something called a refresher stock, or something like that. I think it's 1pm and 5pm, so if they do have some stuff back there, it's usually put on one of those small red tubs that I always stub my toes on and stocked at that time, so if you check during the day, I think it would be best to check after 1 and 5.
I don't know if they get trucks in during the day, but I would think, if they got one in, it had new stuff on it and then 5pm came a long, then it might get put out, but I don't know. we might have to get someone who works there to confirm.
Hope what little info that is helps, if at all.
