True story.

Whose legs are those?

The guys in chat claim the legs are Metal Head V2.

Meaning Rock Viper. Yep.

And let's not forget..used again on the 2005 Con Metal Head.

I don't mind the legs, but the waist seems a little out of place. The "straps" on each side of the waist extended down the legs on the original. On this figure they are just there. Just a minor gripe.

There's plenty of color on this fig to subdue the teal. The HHG sticks out like a sore thumb, because it lacks additional color. Like others have stated, if the belt was painted black, it would help a bit.

who sells con figures for 11 bucks on ebay?

If you time it right, a lot of people. Last year, you were able to get the female Cobras as low as $9 in the weeks right after the Con. Even now, you can get a lot of the '07 con figs for under $10. The same is true of the Dreadnoks. For a while, Iron Grenadiers were under $12 and even Cobra Mortals had a time when they sold under $20. Right after the Con, supply is high from those trying to offset their costs while demand is low since most people who wanted the figs already have them. That leads to cheap prices.

(Plus, this HHST is not an upgrade over the original. As such, it will likely price out below the vintage version in the long term. Even if it is, technically, "rarer".)

Mike is correct. With the exception of the 2002 set, you can practically find most of the figures from past con sets for around $10 and sometimes cheaper if you look at the right time.

There is an abundance of 2004 figs because many sellers in Asia had stockpiles of them and are still available.

We've already seen the bats on the box art, so I don't think it's going to be a huge surprise or letdown when they are revealed as we know the color and most of the parts. I guess the only thing is the accessories or attachments.

I always figured people charged more for them.

Not bad.

I still don't understand the teal, but it's alright.

I know the original Headhunter Stormtrooper had the same "problem" :shifty: , but why their arms are attached so low on their body? I think they would look be better if their arms were attached normally at their shoulders level :-(

i kinda thought it was something done to make the "traps" look bigger on the 90s figures shoulders..as well as the rest of the torso being thicker on them, etc.

I like it. Wish it had all of the original parts, but what can you do?

Not bad. I like this one best of what we've seen so far. I've never been a big fan of the helmet, though. Would have been cool to have had a paint mask for the individual spikes.

Definitely no improvement over the original, but still a cool figure. I think the legs work fine.

Then I've never looked at the "right time" over the last several YEARS.

I've NEVER seen a single con figure for $10 or less, let alone the very few that I actually want.

I just did a search on ebay. Any of the Dreadnok set figures? Not a one. For ANY price. Iron Grenadier set? A few are there for $15 each, but not the one I want.

I thought they were calling this color ARSENIC? Which of course makes it instantly cooler.

If Metal Head V2 legs are Rock Viper legs then I am calling them Rock Viper legs. I like that fig more.

Need to expand your search, evilbay isn't the center of the universe

Sorry couldn't resist a dig on ebay.

But in all seriousness about 2 months ago I was looking for the female cobras and stumbled over several dreads that sold under $10, I think the only one that made it past that was Ripper (I think he went for around $15 but i really blacked it as I was looking for other stuff).

Call me a heritic but I hated the IG set (color, The Ig useing NV mold, Destro in CGI mold, Gen Mayhem  ) so I will be honest I never pay attention to it when I do find it.

I also remember a mortal at $20 (might have been the one mike was talking about I am not sure). and I saw some of the coil guys go for $10 as well.

Say, doesn't it look almost the same as the original???
Yes, the legs are different, but the torso, arms and head only have the arsenic colour instead of the original grey at exact the same spots as the original. When I first saw the convention HHST I noticed the different legs and then immediately asked myself "soooo, what else is new?" :-/ I'm a little disappionted, but ofcourse I'm quite fond of the V1.
The guns look nice, though, new molds if I'm right!?
