Academic Indiana Jones, the college professor in glasses, from the first and third movies would be GREAT to see. Maybe that figure could be packed with some dio stuff like the "X never marks the spot" chalkboard and such if Hasbro really needs to stretch the line out. But that's thin, right?

Beyond alternate wardrobe variations for Marion Ravenwood in the khakis and Sallah in the fez, there's nothing more to be done to either of them.

There's a severe need for Marcus Brody in the line but he only needs one figure.

The Cairo residents are done unless they make additional on-screen-but-not-used ones ala the Mos Eisley Cantina and that'd be unnecessary.
Thugee, uh thugs, beyond the announced ones would be good but that's all the expansion possible there... maybe the little bastard prince too.
Numerous German and Russian soldier variations are very possible and might be welcome but otherwise, yeah, kind of limited. As long as all the named bad guys eventually happen, the nameless extras are just that.

A couple variations on Indy's dad, Dr. Jones Sr. would be nice additions but the variety would be lacking.

yeahhhh.... it's nice to see the movies finally get a modern toyline that'll encompass all the films BUT I think y'all are right about it being short-lived.

No one's mentioned wanting a "Melting Nazis" pack? For shame.

I'd really like to get an Opening of the Ark Cinema Scene, with an Ark having some dust at the bottom, and three melty-dudes. That would ROOL!!!

And Marion in the white dress would be nice, too.

I love this line and am glad it happened finally. But add me to the list of those who don't see much potential beyond three or so more waves. I already have like six Indy's. There's potential for a lot of period characters, but I don't see many people going out of their way to get multiples of say, a mongolian pilot, or an Indian villager. Club Obi Wan playset, anybody? With Star Wars, every extra, and every mundane set was a work of science fiction art, but Indy and cohorts are pretty period, and I don't see any toy companies battling it out to make Casablanca action figures. Once they've made all the major villains and supporting characters padded with multiple Indy's, the line is done.

Melty Nazis would be awesome! I watched Raiders last night & I'd forgotten just how awesome that scene was! :-D The Ark that comes with Indy does have some dust sculpted into the bottom; I thought that was a nice touch.

I'd like to get some more Cairo baddies without army building Marions. And more Nazi-esque Nazis. I did snag three more 2 packs at Target today though. ;)

Realistically we wouldn't get melty nazis but we could get them turning away with faces of awe and fear. That's just one of many cinema packs I hope they actually would make.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Short Round yet? This line can't be complete without short round!

I don't see this line lasting much into next year, because I don't see people needing 20 versions of Indy or random Arab in market. That said, there's a lot of SW I never expected people to buy. Can't figure collectors.

What is surprising me about this line is the cross-over interest. You see news showing up on Star Wars boards, GI Joe boards, and die-hard military boards. From the die-hards, you figure this is the first generic German transport truck (ignoring the fact its a fake vehicle), first 1:18 Russians (not counting Oktober Guards), and some very decent Middle-eastern fodder.

In an odd way Indy is sort of the mid ground for all those interests. I remember back in the day when the first raiders figs came out I rushed to grab indy cause he was Joe scale.

Funny thing is I did the same thing about a week ago

But really most people I know would at least count either Radiers or Temple in thier top ten movies.

Thus if you are already a toy collector and this announcement hits, you run and grab cause Indy is cool
