Why does everyone think the BATs are teal? :confused:

I'm looking right at the newsletter & they look silvery grey to me.

I don't get the newsletter but if you had a scanner (you don't, I know) then we could all see the picture that most of us can't see. (It'd help if GIJCC would get off the asses and update the damn con page with the box art too. :rant:

)

and with the HH and Gristle being really teal-errific, it's natural to assume the BATs are too.

I just got an e-mail from Brian saying there are only 4 molds in the Con set this year.

4? Headhunter x2, Gristle x1, Headhunter Stormtrooper x5, BAT x5?

Wow, that's lame. Least unique figures since the 2002 set

Yeah, the email also said the box art would be on the site this week, so everyone should get a chance to look at it, which is cool.

Of course those unique figures don't take into account whatever attende bonuses we're getting...

Those Bats are huge let down if they turn up the way they are depicted on the box.

You guys say you hate them...you'll still buy two sets.

I'm glad they found the HHST mold. Sort of unglad how they find all of these cool molds but we got the same handful for years when Hasbro was doing repaints.

Guilty.

Looking at the picture, the BATs are V2 with a V1 head which either has a high collar molded on it or has a seperate collar piece fitted around the neck. The body is grey and the head is silver. It looks pretty terrible.

On the bright side, it does look to have a lenticular chest though.

Yep and passing the savings on to you with yet another mark-up from last years price (which was marked up for use of more molds). Gotta love the MC business model.

So it looks like the cool Joes in the box set artwork... Aren't even in the box set! Nice one... :roll:

Well, atleast we can presume that one of the extras'll be a 3 pack of Urban Joes. No doubt carded so I have to buy two. :-x

If everyone is receiving their newsletter and is also seeing a teal Gristle, HH, HHST and BAT on the box art, MC will

a) send out a new disclaimer - colors vary from eye to eye. If you are seeing teal go get your eyes checked....this is "arsenic"

b) redefine the color of teal as arsenic

c) admit they are teal and made up the story of "arsenic"

d) give us new shots of Gristle and HH in an arsenic color

I've seen a scan of the box art at this point. First, a correction: This is a 15-figure set, everyone!

Gristle (colored in arsenic, black, and gold)
Headhunter Guard (arsenic, black, and gold) x2
Headhunter Stormtrooper (arsenic, black, and gold) x6
BAT (silver head, black shoulders, silver chest, silver legs with black highlights, HH logo chest piece, orange "visor"/faceplate, claw attachment on right hand, and flamethrower on left hand) x6

Four distinct figure molds. Pay attention to what I'm saying about the BAT's arm attachments!

We know the Claw Mech will be there thanks to the Club giving us little hints this year. Whether it will be an attendee exclusive or a souvenir with box or not has yet to be determined.

The three Joe characters depicted on the box are:
Shockwave (in sweet olive drab and black, looks like v1 mold)
Long Arm (olive drab and black, maybe gold highlights, you can see his helmet and four grenades)
Low Light (olive drab and black, I have this from someone eyeballing it a while and I trust their judgment that it's the v1 mold)
