I've been lagging behind a bit on promoting the latest reviews, so here we go.

Fred from JBL and I have continued teaming up on joint reviews being hosted over on JoeBattleLines Reviews page (but of course also linked on my Generals Joes Anniversary Reviews page as well).

The latest victims are Single Pack Wave 2 and the Target Exclusive Vehicles. Check 'em out!

Doc is coming very, VERY soon. :D

Justin

I always enjoy your joint reviews, and these are no exception.

One point worth making about the AWE is that they did remold the area under the dash to accomodate longer 25th anniversary legs.

I'm really looking forward to your take on the TRU senior ranking packs and Doc.

Keep them coming.

I think that that wave is probably my favorite yet...and I didn't think it would be at first. And those vehicle reviews really make me wish I could find those at my Target. I love the joint reviews as well...but GH, I do miss the old 1-10 scale of worth that you were using in the VvV days. I'm always way behind when it comes to new figures, so it was a quick way to see which figure was best without having to reread the whole review. But anyways, the reviews were a fun read.

I think it is very cool that Hasbro has made some minor but signifigant mold changes at least to the AWE and the HISS. The hood on the AWE doesn't have the ridge anymore, so unless they pulled a resculpted version from a spinoff item like from Stargate, its nice to see that for $10 it is not just what they could shove in a box to keep fans happy.

Side by side, I prefer the all green AWE Striker to the green and grey. Who knew fewer colours would make it stand out more. That is one of the things I love about these reviews: side by side comparitive shots.

Those are helpful. However, they failed to answer the size question both ways. How well do ARAH style figures fit into these modified vehicles? I'm not going to waste $10 to have my figures flop around like it's Sgt. Savage again. So, do ARAH fit into these?

Good point, Mike, we should have done better on that, and rest assured, that will play into future reviews, because it's important.

Don't worry, the vintage RAH stuff fits pretty seamlessly into these new vehicles. There is some retooling for depth, but all in all, the cockpits/seats remain pretty close to the same size with no noticable scaling issues.

Damn right. Now, shine my shoes. :-P

But, thanks for the pics. Those do help. I'm not sold on the Hiss as the it looks too long for the ARAH figs. But, the AWE seems OK. If they're still collecting dust at my local Target, I might have to pick one up. It's pretty hard to get a high quality vintage AWE shipped for under $12.

Thanks!
