Only problem that I can see is the people who have to have one hundread and ten percent dead mint perfect in every way items. I know I got behind someone last year that went through 5 convention sets before setting on one that would work for him and then he wanted to switch out the box tops to get one that did not have a scratch. I can just imagine how bad it could get. But it should hopefully not be that bad all around. I just know I will get behind the one person who will not be satisfied with anything they put in his box.
I know when I picked up my 05 box, they opened it for me, I said great, and I took it. I didn't realize until I got home that Overlord's weapons were left out of my box. Kind of wish I'd been a bit more like the guy in your example.

I think one thing they could do is reveal the filecard/artwork for the extra figures and vehicles but not the finale product. That way we know what we are getting and a basic idea of what it will look like and along with the attendee bonus they can show the actual figures/vehicles.
Mention the price as well and you've got a compromise I can get behind.

Also for the forums, they are now open for free, just make a "trooper" level id and you free to post. If more people would go there and post the things they would like to see changed it just might help to get some changes made as more people there would chime in and support some of these changes.
It is nice that this option is there, but there are two reasons I don't join and do that:
1) I have a finite amount of time I can spend online, and there are only so many message boards I can be a part of and follow. Odds are if I were to join that board and post in a thread like this, I would not return to see replies until long after the discussion went dry.
2) There are people here who have complained on the MC boards about MC, in particular about the removal of the online newsletter. They were ignored. I'm not going to try to communicate my problems with a company that turns away from its members.
