yeah, nine bucks at big lots, anyone needs me to pick one up, shoot me a pm, :)

I don't know, I really hate the lack of articulation on it, maybe it can be salvaged, though, :)

The articulation is a bit buggy for me too but compared to the v.1 Deep Six its really great. And being able to put a figure in it and looks good more than makes up for it. I would like hip joints of some kind though.

I've been debating what to with that suit too. To paint or not to paint. I chose not to paint so I coudl tak eit to the pool and stuff. Now you have me questioning that decision since yours looks so pretty.

I am so copying that Wet Suit too. That is a brilliant peiece of customizing right there. Absolutely brilliant.

I've seriously thought about getting those ball bearing magnet sets to give the arms better articulation. Don't know how the legs would work though.

Honestly, the articulation doesn't bug me as much as I initially thought. Its not like I'm going to have this thing in dynamic action poses or anything like that. Its more of a glorified set piece than a working suit. Yeah I wish there were joints in the elbows because the Lost In Space Robot look is a bit much but I've seen some of these types of suits in action on Discovery Channel and the like and they honestly don't move that much.

If I were to articulate the legs I'd think some Revoltech joints would work. HLJ sells sets of them but I don't know if they have any big enough to work in the knees and elbows. You could then just cover them with some black balloon material to simulate that rubberized joint look. The hips I'd probably articulate with the same balljoint that's in the shoulders. You'd have to kill another dive suit to do it but I think that would work best.

For articulation the easiest thing would probably be using accordian type hoses you can find on gas cans and fuel funnels. I think Homedepot even sells it in their wiring department. It kind of matches the the molded accordian style knees and elbows any way. You wouldn't have super articulation but he'd be able to the joints at least a quarter of the way. Plus it look pretty seemless since it fits in with the style of the suit.

I was thinking of that tubing also but wasn't sure it was readily available or if it would be stiff enough to work in the knees and still stand up. Something to think about though.

:wow:

I'm in awe. That kicks so much ass that it's hard to find a more dignified phraseology than that. The diving suit is a stroke of genius (that serendipity smacked you and Chief, eh?)! Combing that stupid, stupid, stupid old SHARC subplane WITH the diving suit is just creative magick too.

Where oh where did you find that Animal Planet line? Is that stuff at Toys R Us I've only seen in passing but never took a 2nd look at? How much was it at wherever you got it? I NEED ONE!

I got this one at TRU. It came with a diver figure and scuba gear, a yellow boat, the dive suit and a big fish. It was I believe $15.99. Big Lots has it also with just the dive suit, figure (no scuba gear) and a shark for $9.99.
