Ever since I was a kid and I saw THE TRAITOR where Lt. Claymore, top of the "blueshirt" food chain, made his first appearance I liked the potential the character showed. Yeah, he definitely was a great new entry into the Cobra legions. And I always wished Hasbro would have immortalized him (and numerous other Sunbow creations) in plastic but they didn't... and Master Collector f--ked it up royally, that was a truly ridiculous failure.

In my Joeverse, Lt. Claymore did indeed start out as blue infantry grunt who rose above them all and distinguished himself and impressed Cobra Commander enough be a trusted solo field agent.

CLAYMORE
filename: Wiseman, Saul
birthplace: Bonita Shores, Florida
primary specialty: infantry assault
secondary specialty: tactical operations
grade: Lieutenant

Another top notch figure. The only thing that feels off to me is the neon Cobra sigil. Something in silver, gray, or red may have worked better.

I agree with sgcaper, great figure but I would go with a black or red emblem on his chest.

Agreed. And Duke works quite well with the race change.

NIIIIICE!

I love the character but HATE what Master Collector did with it. THIS is the real Lt. Claymore!

Expect me to steal this soon :)

Nice one, JD. Nothing for me to critique.

wow, y'all, the custom went over really well, this is awesome! Thanks, folks.

Viperlord, buddy, please steal away. I'm looking much forward to seeing the results!

I see the controversy with the sigil color too, yeah, I'd say it doesn't stand out quite so much on the actual figure. I actually wanted it to stand out against the camo blue shades and it does but maybe too much. I think I'll replace it and see what happens, maybe post a new picture.

That's actually one of the shotguns Major Barrage came with. I just chopped the stock off as an experiment and it worked perfectly for it.
