I am wanting to do dio's, what with the big back yard and all, and I am trying to figure out what software I can use to make them. I used to have Photoshop Elements, but I am unable to find the security code that I need to download it on my new computer. (I doubt it would have worked anyway, I now have Vista and it was v2.0 and they are up to like v7.0 or something.)

I really don't want to spend too much money, so elements will probably be the best option out there. (I saw an Ebay auction where a guy had v5.0 for sale for less than $40.) Is there something out there that is close to that price point, with similar features? I have to be honest with you, I was not very good with the version I had, so if there is something that is easier to use, but will allow me to create layers and effects, that would be great!

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Sarge,

There is an image software that is completely free, legal and very much like Photoshop. It is called GIMP and is freely available for both Windows and Linux. Link below. Just an extra option for you to consider.

For the price Gimp is great. It should be everything you need. The only noticeable difference between it and photoshop is what they label their tools and filters.

I did an entire photoshop based design class using Gimp and got an A.
