I did not think there could be a TF crossover set I didn't want, but apparently it's possible.

I want the Soundwave (I love the replacement cannons that look like his g1 cannon), but other than that I'll pass. Surprised there's no accessory bot (like Blaster, Ravage, etc) this time.

Then there's those of us that would like this set but don't stand much chance of being able to afford it. I thought they were done with these, too. But suuuure, bring in the Cobra Rattler A-10 and the best version of the HISS Tank. Stinkers...

Well, now we know where that rumored Rattler is being released. It's a pretty neat set, but nothing I'll be going out of my way to pick up. Hopefully, it means that we'll see those two vehicles recolored in the regular releases.

If I can snag it for a decent price I'll be getting it. Love these sets, and Shockwave as the modern HISS is great, Soundwave as the DTC Era HISS is a cool choice. Plus I love the box art for these and saved the others to frame and put up.

At this point they really needed to shake things up.
Scarlet is a fun repaint and Soudwave is okay... but I care nothing for a red rattler and another Zartan.

That's exactly what it is MJ. It's boring. There have been tons of custom Powerglides, it just has no sizzle. I do like that version of the HISS, but I don't see sound wave as a tank, I see my G1 toy, so it also doesn't scratch me where I itch.

Arm-chair quarterbacking here, but maybe they could have taken some inspiration from the current weirdo IDW series. I'm not reading it, but from what I've seen some of the designs are....interesting.

I'm curious as to why they've stayed away from Megatron and Optimus (other than the gun from the Starscream set). Megatron would make a ton more sense than Soundwave as a tank, since that's been his alt mode ever since toy guns became difficult to sell.

And if you are going to do a Rattler, why not Thundercracker, who actually was a Rattler in the crossover comic?

That was kind of my thought, too, but I can accomplish the same thing with any number of Rattler mold rereleases and a can of spraypaint. Without compulsively reloading the Hasbro Toy Shop website.

I like the scarlett but that's all I'd want. Soundwave in the comic is a futuristic kinda vehicle/tank
