Hello all:
Just when I thought I was done collecting 3-3/4 figures and vehicles after 40 years, something comes out that looks cool enough to suck me back in. I have a few vehicles from PTE/World Peacekeepers, but when I saw this on the board earlier this year I started checking eBay for it. I am not sure that these Robotech/Ghost in the Shell -looking powered armor figures will make it into Big Lots, so I have volunteered to be the 'cooler' for all of you.
Overall, I am pretty impressed. This thing seems very Cobra-ish, and I even have some extra HISS decals around somewhere, so may do it all up when I have time. Here are some initial thoughts:
-Figures very well made with lots of accessories, guns are of a very hard plastic and are a little delicate as a result
-Vehicle is well-made and feels like the usual PTE plastic, wheels are the exact same as the 6x6 that came out a few years ago
-Lots of opening doors and the entire top is removeable in both areas
-Not much paint apps, but lots of clear plastic for windows and skylights
-Reminds me very much of the old 1990s Robocop line from Toy Island that had the SWAT van and police car
-Two wheels had problems staying on, I fixed this with some hot water and now they are OK
