Updated with their standard packs and names. Didn't get a chance to work on the individual shots today, but wanted to start rolling out the details.

Indeed, this is my alt-history take on the Ghostbusters.

From the Ark of the Covenant and the Right Hand of Doom, to the Spear of Destiny and the Keep at Dinu Mountain Pass, it seems that the Nazis' quest for Supernatural power manages to always go wrong. SOMEONE has to clean up the mess, and that's where "Die Geistjäger" come in. With the help of unlikely ally in a British soldier trapped behind enemy lines, the team desperately tries to save the earth from enemies unknown and unknowable... even as the world is tearing itself apart.

Men with cool uniforms and serious lower back problems?

PS. I moved it. The moving around of topics on the main page is messing people up, left a shadow in the previous forum so you could find it though.

Oh gosh, I love stuff like this. But why does Winston look like a Tommy working with Nazis? I like the contrast but its sort of jarring too.

edit: sorry I'm a dummy and somehow missed that last paragraph blurb. Got it, unlikely ally trapped behind enemy lines - that'll work for me now make this into a TV show like Buffy where it mixes action/comedy/scifi//drama and I'm in.

WoW.. Just freaking Wow.. These figures look great.. great job on the little details..

The story is interesting too. I would love to heir how you came up with the idea. What inspired you to go that direction with GhostBusters.

I had a really hard time deciding how to Handle Winston. I kept coming up with ideas on how to change the character to make him fit the design, which just felt wrong. So I eventually came around to thinking maybe he could be the sole-survivor of an American "GhostBusters" squad (changing the design to fit the character, instead) that gets stuck working with the Germans, and then I decided doing the leg wraps and the recognizable British helmet might be more fun. I actually quite like the uniform I came up with for him.

It was actually a complete accident. I was working on adding articulation to the Cap2 Red Skull and was thinking I'd make a paranormal-trooper to bridge the SPIRITS vs CORPSE project with the RESURGENCE create a character contest that was going on. I had planned to make 2 and use the Mr. Freeze head for both. I had the first one put together and was trying to decide what gear to give them, and I came up with the idea of doing something like a proton pack, but when I put it all together with that head, it just struck me as "Evil Egon" and I decided to just go with it.

AWESOME!!

At first the idea of WW2 German Ghostbusters gave me pause, too, then I saw good ol' Winston. If these gents are working with someone of African descent and made him an official member of the squad, they're not Nazis per se.

Sorta saw it as three scientists who got far into their research, only to be given an ultimatum:

Work in service to Der Führer.... or be executed as enemies of the Empire and have all work/research/tools seized, then used for unholy purposes.

2 cents, worth exactly that.

Yeah, it was tricky to figure out how to make them all work together without writing Winston out. I think, of all of them, Winston's the least happy with the arrangement. But he recognizes someone has to take on the Apocalypse while the rest of the world is locked in war against itself. I also like the idea that there was a British GhostBusters-like initiative that failed and he's the only one left.

Frankly, it's taking a pretty light-hearted concept and shoe-horning into a REALLY dark period of history.

I'm not entirely convinced it works or is a good idea.

Each of us has an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back. What could go wrong?

Cool idea and great customs.

The failed British GB squad is such a cool concept, as is the Geistjager team in general. Run with it, dude!

I also really like Winston's design, and gravitated towards it immediately.

Added Doktor Spengler, with parts and bio at my site.

For his Gigameter, I used the handheld welder that came with some ROC and later figures. At least, that's what I think it is, it looks kind of like what Hudson uses to cut the locks in ALIENS. It's been released in red and yellow and all black... anyone remember what figures it was available with? I'm drawing a total blank.

Awesome I love this whole idea. It's not even really far fetched.
