Thanks Bucky for the BBTS update. My pile of loot is gonna be of a healthy size.

Oh yeah, one thing I was very disappointed with--rumors for months of a 6" line, with an added tease of a new twist on G.I. Joe...and then poof nothing announced or even teased. They really need to try something to get Joe into retail stores beyond TRU.

Agreed, especially since I think this is the only way a 6" Black Series line will ever happen.

I wouldn't mind seeing some ninjas. Zombies -- no. I didn't like them in last year's Convention Set, and I don't like zombies in general. Those things can stay in the vault forever IMHO.

WOW! That Silent Strike set is awesome. Obviously, this is the "retail" version of the SDCC set, with the SkyStriker and HISS, with different figures. I love both vehicles, and I like the HISS Driver and Gunner especially.

Basically, liking everything except the price tags. Hopefully by the time these come out, I'll be in more of a position to afford them. :/

As for Pythona -- IT'S ABOUT DARN TIME, but I wish she was going to be traditional-style.

Yeah but even though they are not your thing, zombies are big and very popular. There are now 4 zombie TV series. I would rather see Zombies which are at their top of popularity then Ninjas which arent really a big thing at the moment.

I'm gonna go Goldilocks and say I don't want Ninjas or Zombies, so this was just right.

One vote for Zombie-Ninjas vs. Ninja-Zombies.

Sucks that Grunt and Steeler are part of the SDCC set.

Apparently these are going to hit all at once in August. They're hoping to keep it to two "waves" max if they need to break up the shipping dates. That should make it easy to preorder with BBTS and have a big pile of loot.

Some of this stuff is cool but a lot of it is really perplexing. Stealing OB's format from earlier in the thread for feedback:

2-Packs:
- Storm Shadow vs Spirit: Fantastic set. The 88 Storm Shadow sculpt is great and I'll always take another thoughtful Spirit figure. I have to say, I'd rather have seen a vintage "ultimate" Spirit here, however, as the color of his shirt would play nicely with Gung Ho in the retail set. Bought.

- Cobra Commander vs Shipwreck: With CC was all black and silver for an update on his 90 comic book comeback outfit. Shipwreck is cool, but I don't think it will displace my DG version. I'm on the fence with this pack. Might try to find Shipwreck on his own.

- Shadow Guard vs Gung Ho: Really hope GH's colors wind up more muted in the retail release, but overall, this is the chase pack of the set. Bought.

- Croc Master vs Blowtorch: Don't need either of these guys. Skip.

- Iron Grenadiers vs Steel Brigade: I got my fill in the 30th. Skip.

3-Packs
- Rock Viper, Shock Trooper vs Alpine: I'm probably going to snag one of these. I missed out on the Rock Viper, wouldn't mind another shock trooper and would be nice to have a back-up Alpine given his rarity on the aftermarket (which won't last). Bought.

- Dusty and Bluzooka vs Firefly: Firefly has a new backpack, which looks very nice. Dusty and Bazooka look terrible. And this Bazooka has LESS articulation than his 25th figure (which lacked double-hinge knees). SKIP.

- Torpedo and Hit & Run vs Zartan: No clue why Zartan is missing his face paint. Additionally, I have no idea why they didn't just issue the canceled Retaliation Eel/Torpedo. This kitbash is sloppy and the Shipwreck rebreather is too big for the 25th Torpedo head. They need to swap that with a 30th Sci-Fi head, or use different gear. Hit n Run is wacky and has poor accessory choices. This set could have been a shining star, instead it's merely passable. Bought.

Vehicles:
- Desert Duel: Looking more closely at the Chuckles headsculpt, I wonder if it was intended as an ultimate Duke sculpt. It looks very Sunbow Duke from certain angles. I love what they've done with the Striker, but I don't need another one in my life. The Cobras make no sense to me. I'll find Chuckles on the aftermarket and skip the rest.

- Skystriker vs HISS: Nice Ace, but I don't know why they didn't include the superior helmet from the 30th Skystriker release. This one (which came with POC Altitude or whatever) isn't very appropriate for the character. I don't need anything in this set enough to contemplate it -- including the orange HISS. (WTF?)

- SDCC stuff: Happy there's nothing I want, that's exactly how I like my convention exclusives. Skip.

All told, it looks like I'm in for $70 on this one, maybe more in order to grab a Chuckles and Shipwreck. That's far less than I spent on the 50th Anniversary, which I thought was quite good aside from the QC issues.

It's funny, but most of these look/feel like customs.

I'll need Gung Ho and Blowtorch.

Apart from that, nothing really grabs me.

I'm guessing adult Billy will be using Resolute Destro's robotic arm.
Jammer it seems possible he will be a full TF Stalker repaint.

and I can cross off a few customs I was planning

Barricade and Bullhorn are two of my all-time favorite figures. Awesome news.

I'm just pleased to hear there will be a FSS 4.0

As to the list --

Barricade - Amazed that he's making it at all. I'll be interested to see what parts are used.

Billy (Cobra Commander’s son) - Somebody else long overdue, but I'll wait to see what he looks like.

Bullhorn - Cool addition.

Interrogator - This character just never grabbed my attention that much.

Law & Order - Assuming this will be a 1987 coloration of the POC version.

Cobra Inferno B.A.T. - This is a must-have in my opinion.

Nunchuk - Some good company for T'Jbang

Night Creeper (Ice Ninja) - Well, they turned up in the Club Comic. No shock here.

Pathfinder - I always liked this guy. Glad he's getting the nod.

Jammer (Z-Force Communications) - Easy Stalker recolor.

Tiger Force Sneak Peek (UK Repaint) - Nice to see some international flavor.

Tiger Force Outback (UK Repaint) - An extremely popular international figure brought into the modern line. Good!

What about that Pythona mention?

Membership exclusive vehicle and figure for next year will be Dreadnok Ground Assault with Heart Wrencher. - Wow! Heart Wrencher. I'm quite impressed here! A rather obscure female character getting the figure treatment!

Another TF/GI Joe crossover Old Snake and BAT (Soundwave drone) - Cool. Weird, but cool.
