All of your entries were top notch, Excellent work! I'm glad I picked a topic that had one of the sites best cranking out a lot of work. For your Harley (1) recipe, Is that a SHS Invisible Woman head? Also the Henry Jones head was it sanded down or modified in any way?

Those are awesome customs, I love the soft goods skirt on Harley and the comic panels really add to the presentation - a lot. Also I especially like how something as small as wrapping that mallet can make it so much cooler especially when there's a reason for it. It looks better now, I think adding things like that give a custom life and dimensionality... idk why I choose that word but it's the first thing I thought.

I really really dig your Harley figures. Our daughter's name will be Harley Sharra Quinn Grogan so I picked up a couple of the DC Harley figures, one to keep MOC and the other to customize, anyway, I'll be borrowing some of your ideas. I really like the classic Harley. I recognize the Agent Anika body but where is that head from?

I'll try to hit the parts questions.

Harley 1 - yes, that's a Sue Storm head, with the new Multiverse hair. That was a bit of a tricky fusion surgery. I had sculpted my own hair first...it was... passable. Then I got lucky and found a Harley in time to make it better.

Alfred - yes, I shaved the beard with an xacto. Not quite as cleanly as I'd like - may address that, but I need fresh blades.

a.d.d. - thanks man. I wish I had figured out the need for the wrap before submitting the pics, but it helped finished off the look for me. And you're right, those details help give life and depth to the custom.

Sean, thanks my man. I actually don't think there are any Agent Annika parts on Classic Harley. It's a Ms. Marvel torso fused to the legs from the new Multiverse Harley. You know, I'm not sure I will use any one of those multiverse figures as intended, but the fodder has been outstanding.

Arms I used a Star Trek Left arm and a SW right arm for color matching. The cuffs are from a POTC figure.

The head is from a figurine I got at TRU last year. It's a bit small, but the head was just close enough to work. Same figure I got the "Pow" flag I used for Joker's gun.

Not perfect, but here is Gordon with the paint matched, and the coat trimmed at the shoulders to fit better. Remember this version is mostly a prop anyway, as the one without the coat is the main figure for me.

You know I approve of that Sue head for Harley. And if you ever feel a hankering to make an animated version like mine, I sent a copy of my original Harley in jester cap to Rodimus a while back for casting.

So as you know if you checked this thread before, I'm always updating and trying to round out my Bat-verse. This post is of the update variety. First, subtle changes to Batman. New masked head. I like that my prior one was a unique one I had made, but this one is superior in my mind. It is donated from a Schleich figure (the crouching one, since the noggin is bigger).



In addition to the masked head, I changed the legs on both primary Batsuits. They now sport ROC RB upper legs, the same knees as before, and Nick Fury boots.




Also updated is my Nightwing. New head (and using goggles in lieu of mask). Also fixed his belt (though it no longer can hold his sticks), and added a hood. LAst was to swap out his lower legs.




With the new Nightwing head, I needed a new head for civilian Dick Grayson as well.


Then the last update for today, courtesy of Angry Nomad Customs sweet head shrink: The Commish



I also have a Batgirl head coming from same store, and will update my Steph Brown heads soon too, with some eye fixes

Love the updates to Bats. Gives him an almost retro/serial vibe without making him seem campy or dated (kind of gave me that cool "What year is this, anyway?!?" vibe I got when watching the original Burton Batman).

That Gordon head is fantastic. I'm off to see if I can acquire one now!
