Overall, I got him for the character, so he fills a hole but as an action figure don't expect much. It will be an easy pass for most of you.

Articulation
Ball head, hinged swivel shoulders, v crotch. That is it.

Sculpt
There is actually quite a bit of solid sculpting. The head has zero likeness to Jamie Foxx though. In fact he looks more like Arnold's Mr Freeze. He's pretty tall too.

Play feature
He has a clip on backpack you need to push a button to make the bright, really bright, blue light, light up. Nothing ground breaking and for them to sacrafice the articulation for it I wish it was more of an on/off button instead of push and hold.

The one bright spot is that I can use him to double as a Renegades Bio-Viper or something.

So they didn't even attempt a live action version of the *iconic* comic book design?

It's like they phoned the design in. Maybe, "I liked Arnold's Mister Freeze and I like that fish guy from Hellboy. Let's work from there..."

Passing on it even means I put any thought into it. I don't need that...

This is actually how he looked in Ultimate Spider-Man. He was a being of pure energy.

If it is made of recyclable plastic, it will not be a completely wasted effort

I'm actually fine with the Ultimates-zation of the character and with Jamie Foxx's portrayal, and the figure sculpting looks good. The lack of articulation kills this figure, but it's not like the movie lines are giving us anything worthwhile anymore.

looking through this again, and realizing I don't yet have an in-scale Dr. Manhattan, I realized I might have to buy one afterall. "LASER BLAST".

pluv, does it look like the limbs can be removed/changed without affecting the light up feature? How plausible does the aforementioned Doc Manhattan sound, based on the look of him in-hand? Thinking head and torso primarily.

The arms you could probably soften with a hair dryer and pop out. You'd probably have to do some work to get the v-crotch some ball jointed hips but a t-bar should fit. And I don't think you'd hit any of the electronics which are mainly in the chest area.
