Has any company ever made something like this? Yeah, I know the APC is an amphibious carrier in this vein. I'd rather find something with an appearance more in line with the image here.

I thought I had seen 21st Century or one of those companies like that on SmallJoes had one of these. I could be wrong.

No – nothing that I’m aware of. The DUKW is one of my favorite vehicles! And 21C/BBI definitely did not make one.

The old Joe APC (http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/83/apc/) is the closest in function that I know of. Could maybe work as the basis for a custom.

Out in the garage I have my Dad's old DUKW. It's one of those MARX tin type with the flooring printed/painted on.

Since I didn't have an APC until later, I used this DUKW. I could put a MOBAT on it and still have room for a VAMP sideways.

One of these days I need to take some pics of it.

Awesome! What scale would you guess that is? Seems a fair bit larger than 1:18 - maybe 1:12-ish?
