To follow up on my earlier post, here are some random thoughts on the ones I've seen and/or bought.
Dark ninja (or whatever he's called): Awesome. Truly. And I'm not a ninja guy. If you don't believe how awesome it is, just check out Hypno's pic in the dio section. SOLD. I'm army-building them, and I don't know why!
Flint Tremendous headsculpt. I won't say what I'm using mine for until I get it done, but bravo, whether used for Comic Flint, movie Flint or any other custom. Torso and arms are a nice twist on the reactive armor from ROC and POC, and fits right in. Guilty of having the limited articulation in the lower legs, but not a deal breaker. The beret is the best scale beret I've seen from any source (with all due apologies to MJ).
Lady Jaye I'm hoping with a paint job, her face can be made to look more like the actress, but even if not, that head will have some versatile custom options in it. The body - to me - is painted in a way that makes it look much better than the Renegades Scarlett for which it was sculpted. And she includes a great assortment of weapons, that are cool and look great.
Colton Willis McClain, III I'm honestly not a big fan. For movie likeness, it seems like a poor choice of body, though for customs, it's alright, even if overdone. The head's primary flaw of ermagherd eyes can be fixed easy enough with painting, but I'm concerned that it's a bit too big of a noggin' to look good on the base figures I want to use it on. I'm thinking that if I had one of the old Slayer Willis heads, I might have passed on this one entirely, and I say that having really looked forward to him initially.
Roadblock v.2 This is the one Chief referenced, and it really is a gem. Unless you're using the figure for screen accuracy, do yourself a favor and take that bulky vest off of him. The sculpt underneath is one of the best 'big man' sculpts out there in this scale.
Movie Firefly Other than the head sculpt inspiring my planned Zombie-Guide line of action cop customs, there's not much to dig with this figure. I don't even want to think about how many coats of paint I'll need to hide that green coat.
Snake Eyes (wave 2.5?) The one with the brown shoulder pads that is. I won't ever use the figure AS Snake Eyes. Yet, it's one of the most fun sculpts in the line. This will be a very underrated figure when all is said and done, I believe. I've got something fun planned for the one I have.
Mouse Overall he's solid. I like the body for the most part, but something about that Trooper leg style doesn't work for me. It's probably the awkward ankle articulation. The headsculpt is nice, and allows for a pretty wide range of characters that a normal Joe head wouldn't.
Firefly (3-pack) You can pretty much just go with every review out there on this one. It's a great figure. I'm not a collector so much as a customizer, but this may go down as one of a very few figs which I hold onto without modifying. Assuming the aforementioned ZG line is a bust, that unmasked movie head will be paired with this figure, since the masked version clearly looks like the same person.
Red Trooper/Paratrooper (3-pack) Perhaps my surprise favorite of the line so far. I've got plans for multiples. Will my plans work out? Who knows. Oh, and I scrapped the chute right away and gave it to my son. It's the sculpt of the base figure that inspires me.
Alley-Viper I passed on him in the store, to be honest. I've heard since that it's a solid update on the previous version. but I have all the AV shields I think I need, and I'm not sure about the figure itself. Might grab one if they get re-stocked.
Cyber-Ninja/Tron cosplay With no offense intended to those who dig this, I actually kind of chuckled when I looked at him and put him back on the peg. WTF is a cyber ninja anyway? Does he hack into all my internet passwords all sneaky like? That question aside, it's just a weak looking figure. I saw nothing that would be added to my custom fodder library, and envisioned him taking a spot next to a dozen 25A Torpedos and ROC Stormshadows, wondering when they'd get their turn. Was about the only easy pass for me.
I'll add to the list as I remember the other figures I've bought from the line
