Looking good. They have said the head is a prototype and the actual head will be better like Footloose and Dial-tone. I'm glad I have the membership this year and hope to get a carded one as well.

That's a really nice looking figure.

Eeeeh... I'm not really feeling it. The parts don't really "flow", the arms are so much baggier than the shirt, and the pants with the fringes on the side just don't really work...

Surprised they didn't just try to make something work with the cancelled ROC Arctic Duke... It wouldn't have been as vintage-y, but it would have been more cohesive.

Are we looking at the same figure? Cuz I see a throwback to the 25th anniversary days when Hasbro had limited parts and would just throw whatever parts they had together and call it good. This is not a good figure.

yeah I don't really care for that figure at all.

about the only thing I like is the lower legs.
the thighs... beyond the fringe on one thigh is the knife sheath with the straps to nowhere on the other.
then they connect to an upper body that is too big. I know it is a heavy coat, but it just doesn't work with those legs.
the torso on the OG version seems to be a vest over a jacket... this one just looks like the torso was painted teal green.
The head I guess I will withhold judgement on until we actually see what the "club" comes up with. I am sure that'll be a surprise. If it is just a redo of the old head, I am not into it.

I could work with it from the waist up, but he needs some kind of jacket bottom and those thighs are awful.

I'll probably customize mine.

I'm not exactly the target audience for this figure, since remakes of the old designs isn't really my cup of tea. But I have to say, I'm really not into this guy. The Spirit legs are easily one of my least-favorite pieces in the entire 25th line, and as mentioned already, they're really small relative to the upper body. And they have fringe on them. I loved the Footloose figure, so this one's a bit of a letdown. I like Jay's idea about the RoC Duke body, though; I might just pop this figure's head (whatever it ends up being) onto that figure and calling it done.

I don't like it. I understand what they were going for here, but I don't think it works. It's a shame they couldn't have just given us that unreleased Duke figure with this head. I think that would have made a great Iceberg. Of course I may be a little biased. :-)

The more I look at it, I don't think I like Snow Serpent fur collar. I think one of the other scarf collars would have been better.

Completely agree with you, Jay. Very disappointing figure.

Hopefully his parts will change like Footloose's did.

Footloose had a change of part?

That's the first I'm hearing of that. Can you fill me in on the details?

Surprised by the negative reaction to this one. I think this is the Club's best original headsculpt, and it really captures Iceberg. It's funny, I started a thread something like ten years ago asking if anyone actually cares about Iceberg, because he seemed redundant and uninteresting to me, and Iceberg's fans came out of the woodwork. Now we have a 25th figure, a construction style I don't care for, of a character I don't care for, and somehow it really clicks for me.

The head looks to be the same exact head as vintage Iceberg. If Mysterious Stranger's post is accurate, it's apparently a placeholder and the final product's head will be closer to their Dial-Tone and Footloose heads...

And in any case, the problems people are having have a lot more to do with the body construction than with the head. I don't think anyone expressed displeasure with the head yet.
