...but let's face it, choosing to use a condom to fix a GI Joe instead of its intended purpose is pretty much the ultimate "I give up."

Clearly this person has never seen those little bags of black rubber bands in the hair accessories section in the ladies department. They are just perfect for replacing o-rings, holding backpacks on, and make-shift weapons bandoleers...

Even if you didn't know about O-rings being sold at hardware stores, wouldn't a regular rubber band be a better fix?

I have to wonder if the author was trying to be funny.

Personally, I think this is kind of dumb. Clearly this is a far better use for a condom not to mention that they cost significantly more than o-rings. I don't even wanna talk about if it was lubricated or not. Yuck.

Considering what the diameter is of an O-ring, I don't know that I'd be bragging that I found a new use for the unused ones from my night stand for something like this
