so the tomahawk's not coming out until august, after most of the movie figures have peg warmed all summer and the movie's long gone from theaters and there's significantly less interest in the line?

who do they have to fire to avoid stupid decisions like that?

Oh no, they're already skipped wave 3 with all the cool figures

Ok, here's your answer: those are the 2.75 filler wave. It all makes sense now!

I'm actually glad it is coming out later, maybe that shows they have every intention of continuing with new releases post Retaliation line. All the talk about Retaliation being the end of the line for Joe by some has had me very worried. GI Joe is really the only thing I care about.

My guess was for the DVD release. There's a wave of figures coming out in May and another wave after that of a few new figures and harder to find ones repacked from earlier Retaliation waves. My guess is, those will be in summer, around the DVD release date. Though I could be way off and it's completely 100% dumb. Always a possibility.

Toy wise its the only thing I care about. I don't have time for learning and keeping up on a dozen different toy lines between parenthood, work, and other interests. Thanks for your concern guy.

I'm glad to see Hasbro still has some faith in the brand. I wasn't expecting such all out effort at awesomeness. I have a mint vintage Tomahawk, but am glad for all those who can now add one to their collection, and with those upgrades, who knows, I may just get a 'backup.'

Overall, only about half of the first 3 waves of movie inspired figures are impressive enough for me to buy. For me, the highlights are:

I am loving the 'ultimate' Duke and Flint, but the 3 pack Firefly looks better than the single one to me.
The new 'ultimate' Stormy looks fantastic, but I still like the Renegades one much better. I'm not fanatic about cartoon/comic/vintage accuracy. In fact, I prefer new designs inspired by the original look.
The urban camo Cobra Trooper with the flag just looks badass. Definite buy.
The new 'ultimate' Roadblock is just awesome. Best version of the character since his 84 figure!
The Cobra Commander looks amazing, I love that he has a human sized head for a change! And the fact that he comes with his hood is just icing on the cake!
Kwinn looks great.
Budo: man, there is just no way or how this figure will ever fit it any way into my joeverse. But it is such a beautiful toy, I'm still picking him up!
Data-Viper: Hasbro, stop playing with my heart! I've been drooling for this guy ever since he was first shown, but they keep cancelling him, then showing him off, then cancelling him. Are we or are we not getting him?!?!

To sum up: not as all out amazing as POC was, but better than I expected.

(One thing that bothers me is we are not getting much new weapons, its almost all reissued. Thank goodness for Marauder GunRunners!)

that cobra commander is just beautiful, if he didnt have those dumb looking loafer shoes it would be perfect.

Hasbro having faith in the line has never been the problem. It's always been the retailers that haven't had faith in it.

There is a Home Video release, you know? As well as a Major holiday a few months after. It makes sense that they would want to get a big ticket item out there at that time. I wouldn't expect the Retaliation line to end until after then anyway. What we've seen is pretty much what they've planned for the most of the rest of the year.

I'm wondering if the Night Viper has a more Night-Viper-ish helmet.

Cautiously optimistic that we'll get the Data-Viper and Kwinn.

Cobra Commander and the Combat Ninja are cool. So's Jinx.

I still have my original Tomahawk, so I don't know if I'll need the EagleHawk, but I am truly delighted that this superb helicopter is being reissued, especially for the benefit of those who never got it the first time around.

On the whole very impressed with what I see here.

Still really wanting the "Eaglehawk", still happy with my "Cyber Ninja" purchase, and will army build and modify this figure, and really looking forward to Kwinn and Data Viper. In fact I'm looking forward to every figure shown here, especially "Ultimate" Flint which I may purchase two of so I can use his legs for my wave 2 Flint because I like the upper body on the wave 2 one.

I will probably also get two Kwinns, one to keep as is and the other to modify for a Scully (Jagged Alliance) custom I want to do.

i'm a buyer of the recent mold figures outside past ARAH, but I'm having a need to get my hands on a Data-Viper...

that one's been long overdue.

I think that sums up my stance on these figures completely.

And I'll be ordering them into my country via the case (maybe more than one of each if need by, some of those troopers, need a buddy or 2).

Also bring on that Night Landing craft with Cobra Eel.
