Saw these two figs on BadCatToys and knew people liked modern pilots and even having diversity in the pilot ranks...

http://www.badcattoys.com/fpiacfip1blb.html

http://www.badcattoys.com/fpiacfiu1bbi.html

http://www.badcattoys.com/mhnirabl1bbi.html also new Night Raid Black Hawk.....$180  Though the figs that come with it look like the Combat Command figures that Target carried a while back.

The Night Stalker Black Hawk has been up since around December, so it's not exactly new. Fairly realistic, I didn't see too many things wrong with it at first glance. It's a fairly close approximation of either a MH-60A or MH-60L.

Nothing wrong....except that the same mold (except for the minigun for the crew chief) sold at Target a few years back for $30. I wonder if they fixed the blades on it - those things sag horribly after some time.

The unpainted pilot is interesting. Cool that you can paint your own, but not a lot of differences in pilot flightsuits except for the helmet. Would be nice if these started showing up at Target, but I'm not holding my breath.

Man, I miss when you could find the realistic 1/18 military stuff at Walmart and Target.

Is this the first time they've offered the Jet pilots separately?
The only thing I'd be interested in would be the helmet, and I got a cast of that from Aly a few months back.

There are many things wrong, mostly minor details, but still wrong all the same. I'm not sure the one at Target was a MH-series Blackhawk, I don't remember any other ones having the FLIR or color weather radar mount on the nose.

Again, I'm not positive, but I believe this is supposed to be an MH-60L as opposed to an MH-60A. I'm definitely tempted, but doubt I'd bite at $180. Now, if it was an MH-60L DAP, I'd pay for THAT!

wasn't the mass release (and much cheaper) version a pavehawk? i like it but i don't $180 like it. same w/ the jsi stuff. its nice, but not $260 nice.

The BBi Blackhawk and Pavehawk were $50-$60 when they were first released. I remember getting my Blackhawk in 2002 at TRU and it was $50. They got under $40 at one point when TRU was clearancing their BBi stock. I bought the assault buggy, recon cycle, and a good box full of those weapons packs for super-cheap.

As long as they're doing Lima models, I really would like to see them do a DAP. Maybe with the long wings, with a Hellfire rack and a 30 MM on the inboard spots, and FFAR rocket pods on the outboard locations. They can skip the in-air refueling probe, since that was a later mod, but I would jump at a decked out 'Hawk that had those things as well as mini-guns and the FLIR and color-weather radar on the nose.
