Desert Fox soap holder?

Picked this up at a thrift store tonight. Not sure what it is exactly, but it has the same company stamp and a similar design to this: http://www.yojoe.com/archive/selfcare/soapholder.shtml

Anyone know more about it? For 2 bucks I figured I might as well get it, I'll put it with my Flint bandaids and BattleForce 2000 tissues.

It's a floating Soap dish...it would have come with 3 small bars of soap

That thing is ridiculous as a collectible yet really cool. But yet is is absurd for it is intended purpose... a floating bar soap holder?

Makes sense if you think about it. If you're gonna make a soap dish out of any Joe vehicle it might as well be the one whose driver is named Skidmark.

IIRC, Hasbro didn't come up with any all new water vehicles for the good guys from 1987 to 1991. Unless you count the amphibious Warthog, which would've made more sense than the Desert Fox.

Who are the Joes molded inside it? Skidmark clones in better colors?

If that was a Star Wars item, those guys would already have full names and long backstories. Let's get with it, Joe fans.

The sculpt is Skidmark-ish, but the colors remind me more of Recoil. I'm kinda thinking about making a Skidmark in this paint scheme.

I've always thought these were cool. As far as I know, there were only the three:

We should do a new Group Project and create other house hold items out of vehicles and figures. Have cleaning or soap related code names.

Maybe a toothbrush holder specialtist/dentonation expert, possibly a Gummer's Mate.

Could be fun...

I like that a lot. The Septic Tank could be a dish soap dispenser.
