So how come they were able to get this proper movie-accurate Snake-Eyes out in the second wave but there's no sign of a movie-accurate Cobra Commander or Storm Shadow anywhere? :(
My guess is that since the knew who was playing Snake Eyes right off the bat, they were able to get a jump on his costume which meant Hasbro was able to get a jump on his movie accurate figure before some of the other characters.

The one thing I kind of like about the movie release date move is that we won't have the same problem as RoC where stores were clogged with the early waves. Every movie release the stores buy so much wave 1 and wave 2 that we it takes forever to see a wave 3 or 4, which tend to be more geared to what is actually shown in the movie. Normally I'd say the Wave 1 stuff will peg warm but there is plenty of time for these to sell through, get restocked, and sell through again before Duke and the Ninja Striker go on clearance. Then in March when the movie is released there is a good chance that this Rockblock, Blind Master, Joe Colton and hopefully movie Jinx will be on the shelves. We won't have to wait very long for the best figures of the movie line to be out in force.

Well that's assuming they don't do something crazy like ship more wave 1 in full force! I would hope if there are more eave 1, it will be like refresher packs with wave 2 mixed in.

I would love for this to be the case.

But if history is any indicator, Hasbro has plenty of wave 1 left to ship yet.

How much space the movie-move-burned retailers devote to movie product next year (and, by extension, how much they order) will more likely determine how soon or if we see those later waves.

But... Lee Byung-Hun was the first actor to be cast for the sequel...

If you've seen the trailers you know any of Storm Shadow's Rise of Cobra figures will cover him for most of the movie. I'm not even sure when or if he'll look like his Retaliation figure in the movie.

Hawk is right. I weep with anticipation. I love the subtle brown on that Snake Eyes and Rockblock is awesome. I could do without the Arashikage tatt, but that's easily ignored.

It's hard to tell in the pictures but is the wave 2 Snake Eyes outfit black instead of that dark gray like the wave 1 and 3 pack? In the picture of the wave 2 next to the wave 1 figure he looks much darker but not sure if he is just darker gray or black.
