Ok, if you can't tell by my new avatar (it's from Splinter Cell: Conviction), I'm kinda into ol' Sam. I've been playing Chaos Theory off and on for the past week. I already had a SpyTroops version of Sam, but figured if anything, he deserved an update along with the rest of my Joes.

Fig is a 25A SE (what else?) with a VvV Duke head (tried to find something better, but no luck) and SAW Viper hands. I just noticed all that crap on his neck - it's left over from when I was painting on his stubble - sorry about that.

The goggles were made from Depth Charge goggles, a cut-up lightsaber, and Green Stuff. I'm especially proud of the SC-20K I found. Originally, I built one from scratch using an MJ P90 and some other parts (top), but then I found my long-lost SC-20 hidden amongst my fodder (bottom). It came as part of a super-cheap set of crappy figures at Dollar General. I think the whole pack was $2 and it came with laptops, other crap, and this baby. I added an MJ silencer and it's perfect now:

The "real thing" for comparison:

And the mandatory action shots:

Enjoy!

As a big Fisher fan, I have to say you captured his likeness pretty well. He's kind of a mix between the Splinter Cell 1 and Double Agent Sam Fishers, which looks really cool. I've got to know how you painted the stubble too. I like making Pandora Tomorrow style Sam figures, so I always put camo/dirt on his face. I'd like to do one with stubble at one point though. And please, for all that is Holy, find me another one of those SC-20's! Or two. Or three. I'm tired of making my own, and you have the perfect one right there. :-x :-D

PS: You'll like my next 25th custom. I just have to wait to get my parts in ;)

Thanks Guys!

For the stubble, I just paint a beard on, then wash some flesh tones over it to give it a faded look. I used to use gray, but found that a flesh wash over a black or dark brown beard worked best.

If I can get around to it and figure out the process, I'll likely cast a bunch of the SC-20s (since there are no Dollar Generals in Colorado.) I figure that a LOT of people would want one or many of these babies. :D

I never got Double Agent - the plot line just didn't appeal to me (and who wants to bother with a "trust meter" anyway?), but I'm really looking forward to Conviction - but I hear it just got pushed back til like March or so :(

Thanks again!

That.....is simply awesome. I'm not a Splinter Cell fan myself, (played it, didn't really like it) but I know a good custom when I see one, and that is a damn good custom. Nice job!

Yeah, the Trust Meter kind of blew, but other than that, it was pure SC. The very last scene in the game is what I believe threw Sam over the edge and most likely will tie into ConViction.

Sam's

Which leads us to The Fisher Ultimatum...I mean ConViction :-D

The new novel comes out on November 3rd. I can't wait, especially if it's as good as the last one. The first two were meh.

*Bump for a sweet custom.

Cast SC-20's? Make it so!

Nice work. One of the best Sam Fisher's I've seen. So, Chief, have you considered using the 25A Snake Eyes in any of your customs? :shifty:

I'm starting to appreciate the 25th SE more as a base for customs. I never played the games, but this is a fine custom.

That gun is absolutely perfect.

At last count, I had only used 23 SEs for customs:

And I still have 8-10 in the fodder box ;). No wonder I don't have any money :-/

Thanks guys!

This guy is tight! I love the camo job you did on his pants and that beard technique is very sweet! He looks quite tough and very stealthy! Nice job! :-D
