I hate to call this a fan film since it looks so much better. If you liked Batman:Dead End, then you will like this too. I should warn some of our younger members that there is a lot of blood and violence. It is pretty loud for those watchign at work.

Yeeeh.. Gonna go against the flow with this and say I wasn't a fan.
While I don't like the excess camp and "everyone parachutes out" of the old Sunbow cartoon, I don't like the excess blood and guts and screaming in this one. Too far out the other extreme.

It just felt like that "Buckets Of Bludd" Shortpacked! strip brought to life...

I agree with you there but I could easily recognize the characters for who they were and it had a nice Arah vibe before all the blood and guts. I think there's probably a happy medium somewhere in the middle but to date I think it's my favorite live action joe.

Finally watched this the other night. Fun in an Elseworlds kind of way.

It was neat to see how the Joes' classic looks could translate to live action without looking lame.

And I far prefer their interpretations of Snake Eyes and Stormshadow.

The list of allies at the end of the movie was interesting....

Still, it was entertaining, and I thought all the actors were well-picked save for Beachhead--he seemed too nerdy. I would like to see a sequel, though.

Flint wasn't nearly smarmy and obnoxious enough. Other than that, it was pretty good. It was nice to see somebody trying to translate the characters' iconic looks to live action.

It was interesting. I wasn't quite expecting the non-Joe components. They should have named it Operation: EXCAL, and I'd already have a toy line ready to support their flick. :shifty: lol

These guys clearly put a lot of effort in to making this film. Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish watching it. The really bad acting was just killing it for me.

the Predator? really!? It started to lose me there. the teaser about Hicks and Wolverine and the freakin portal made the Predator's inclusion even sillier.

Stalker is was wearing Marine camouflage and his beret was hanging the wrong way. They killed off too many characters the flying gore seemed like shock value (I want realism in Joe but that was just gross). I should have been happy that Zartan had a starring role but his impersonation of Heath Ledger's Joker fell flat and took me out of it.

I admire the ambition behind it but the final results were all for naught.

I was glad to see them using actual "Joe" attire. Overall I enjoyed the film. Could have easily done without the Pred. But it's worth watching, and I hope to see more from them.

I think that the resistance to bloody scenes tends to make people think that something will be instantly awesome as long as blood is added. Like "Wow! That was so awesome and bloody!"

I just don't fell that way.

I like a lot of what they did here. And they upped th ebar on Joe fanfilms for sure. The Zartan morphing shot. About everything with Snake Eyes. The costumes (Those Cobras looked good. It is easy to have cheesy looking Cobra Soldiers). The Tomcat stock footage even added some production value.

I think if they would have subtracted the blatent cries for fanboy wow factor (blood, cross-overs), this would have been better despite some of the over acting.
