Version 2, with a David Lane-inspired head. It looks like the 30th Law tooling with Resolute Duke legs.

I kinda like it, but I don't know how I feel about the Club getting the most up-to-date tooling to use on a vanity figure.

Not bad but I felt the same way. How'd they get access to tooling for a figure that hasn't even been released yet? And if they have that kind of access why aren't we seeing better figure choices. The excuse of limited to Hasbro leftovers just went out the window with this one.

I prefer the ARAH version in every way.

i really havent been unhappy with these figures at all.

while its easy for them to get lost in the shuffle of all the current releases, down the road i have ZERO doubt that these will be extremely desirable.

i do think these items might be better received as a whole is the club had created its own substory, complete with characters and villians rather than using existing ones. that way there would be nothing to compare them to.

but hey, what do i know?

Well, I kept saying that he would have to be a knockout for me to want him, and he isn't. He's ok but nothing to write home about.

Interesting about the whole "New tooling" thing now though. Wonder what the responce will be for that one.

Grunt is 40 times more disappointing now than he already was. That half ass tan Grunt is now a complete waste, this is proof. Cannot BELIEVE 30th Law is so heavily used here. Plus I always lliked the Resolute legs.

I like this. VERY surprised he's V2 style instead of V1. He's not a ripoff of DEF Shockwave anymore. I like.

Hooray, Dave Lane's vanity strikes again!

And yeah. A lot of justification of "they just don't have access to later toolings", and then.... this.

This will be a figure I end up keeping. Only because nobody will want to buy it. I fully intend to eat Chipotle and then take a Sloppy Dump directly on this figure.

It strikes me as distasteful and arrogant for the club to be using extremely limited slots for vanity figures... If you must make a vanity figure, give the opportunity to the "Entire Fan Club" offer it as a prize for a contest or a membership perk... That would be a move that would make Master Collector seem much more like the "Club" it pretends to be when it's not a poorly run business.

Hey, at least it's not the mystery 13th figure. Wouldn't THAT be a kick in the nuts?

Yuck. I do like the original Sure Fire, but v2 colors just don't cut it for me. Obviously seeing this figure in v1 colors might look too much like the 30th Law figure. And is his helmet on backwards?

I actually do not have a problem with this figure. Price again... yadda yadda yadda... I agree with pluv on the parts however. If they have access to items that far back in advanced, there should be some better part choices on some of the figures.

Interesting, but still meh. And after this, Tan grunt is a disgrace. It just shows that they could've done so much better. And you know they're gonna charge through the nose for this.

I rather like the look of the figure, but it's another I'd want multiples of for repurposing.

And the same question smacks me in the face for a third time with these figures: How much is too much to pay for what amounts to custom fodder?

I'll tell you, in this economy, the threshold is much lower than it was when I started collecting again.

But these figures aren't produced yet.

At least that was my impression, The Club was going to take "preorders" for the subscriptions, add a number "X" and that was going to be all that was produced. That may have changed or the club may have just been talking out their ass, but Im pretty sure these subscription figures haven't gone to production yet.

I was thinking these would be produced as the subscription runs...but now that I think on it more, I can fully see Master Collector getting everything produced up stockpiled in their TX warehouse... I'm sure it will take them the full month to get everything packed up to ship so any delays from china would throw off their monthly process.
