The ONLY thing I could use that for is as a trainer module.

Take off the blades, mod the skids into a base that rotates in all directions, paint the cockpit glass a dark color (black) and then run wires out of the cargo area.

Perfect for a dio to train JOEs on how to operate the Locust or Dragonfly or even the Sky Hawks.

I will admit that I have warmed up to the "Knock Off" vehicles recently, but that thing is Butt Ugly. I wouldn't spend $5 on that.

Yes, it's complete garbage. It's a shame Joe fans may be resorting to this to add to their army.

It looks like it's too chintsy to be customized... I would have little faith Glue would stick to it, or that any mechanical fastener would stay in place.

I'm ok with it until that center section, what is up with that, too small for a fig to sit but too large for anything else. Maybe and engine? it just rips through the look of the vehicle.

Military Copter

I first saw this toy at Target for $10 and wanted to buy it so badly but I passed on it because I wanted to stop spending for a change. Of course I eventually found myself madly looking for this toy again but Target was sold out of them. Ebay was my next stop and more than a year later, I finally found it. It's not a great or amazing toy (it's OK) but it sure is a treasure. I paid $20 total and yes it was unopened and in pristine condition.
Image

Abundant selection of 1:18 weapons.
Image

Front view. Features rolling wheels and adjustable chin guns. Also features four non-removable rockets on each side.
Image

Image

Image

Rear rotor manually turns. The tail has two lights that flash red when you push a button on the side of the chopper. A chopper flying sound is also activated.
Image

Working winch is extendable and retractable. The string should have been longer.

The interior has okay details. Nothing that'll blow your mind but hey it's nice that the toy designers made an effort. I do wish the joysticks were longer.
Image

Image

A moderator from another forum claimed that this chopper wasn't 1:18 scaled. Well, here's proof. As you can see, it is 1:18 scaled. It is perfect for both vintage and 25th anniv. GI JOE figures.
Image

Image

This is the gunner station but it's tricky to get a figure to hold the gun. I wish the gun were bigger and extended more outwards. A little customizing will fix that flaw.

Image

Rescue basket included.
Image

For $10 to $20, this is not a bad toy. As I previously stated, it's not an amazing toy but it gets the job done. It's versatile, fun, durable, and features lights & sounds. It holds one driver, a gunner, has extra space in the back, plenty of weapons, a working winch, and even a rescue basket! A little extra paint on areas such as the window frame, interior console and missiles and this chopper will look more interesting visually. Add more realistic guns and possibly a more convincing main rotor and you have yourself a wicked chopper ready to kick ass!

Yeah, honestly, for the space-cautious collector, this wouldn't be a bad "military rescue copter" to have.

I like the cockpit interior. Some nice molded details there.

Now all you need is a scale quarter and a store front to park this thing in front off...

I stand by my earlier post. IF I picked this up on clearance, the only thing I'd use it for is a simulator pod on a movable base inside a room for training purposes.

Some pistons that can rotate it in different directions, print out a aerial wraparound screen to put in front of the cockpit, run some heavy wires...
