Really, really looking forward to these.
-Law: my most eagerly anticipated figure of the bunch. I really like the look of him as-is, and he'll make great custom fodder. Also, any time you can get a dog with body armor, that's pretty cool.
-Airtight: it's a great-looking figure. I wasn't crazy about the yellow uniform, but it looks good and I can find a use for him.
-Ripcord: he'll make a fine donor body for another figure. The head might be useful as well, depending on how cartoony they went with it (I'm hoping for more Duke and less Firefly here).
-Sci-Fi: I'll get one, but I'm not excited about him. Replicas of ARAH stuff aren't really my thing. They did a great job on him, though.
-Scarlett: again, not excited about her, but I'm sure I can find something to use such a blank-slate body for.
-Tunnel Rat: good custom fodder here. He won't last long on my work table.
-Techno-Viper: yawn. But, again, they did a fine job on him.
-Cobra Trooper: hate the design, love the parts as fodder. It might be the helmet that's throwing me off, though; he might look cooler with a substitute head that I'll be happy to find for him.

Negatives - man, I cannot stand the Renegades-inspired artwork
Yeah, that has got to be the worst Joe card art in the history of the line. And having a couple of awesome photrealistic cards (Sci-Fi and Techno) make the rest look even worse by contrast. They look just shameful.
Horribly, horribly true. I've never wanted to get a figure off a card faster than I did the three Renegades Dukes I bought the other day. Usually, I like to leave the package lying around while I examine the figure, but I put those things in the trash as fast as I could. And you're right: looking through the pegs, those grotesque, detail-free drawings really brought down the appearance of the packages as a whole. I can actually see the ugliness of those cards adversely affecting sales of the figures, which is a shame because the figures themselves are really nice.
