It is a shame though, that a line that started off so strong is getting lame. Silver Centurion is just a repaint of the Red&Gold and thus not as accurate as it should be. And the Arctic and Modern Armors are essentially the same figure with a few tiny changes. And, as mentioned, the lack of swivel-arm is annoying.

I started off loving this line, but I am not going to support it any longer if Hasbro wants to go the lazy/penny-pinching route. Why u gotta ruin a good thing, big H? :hasbronerd:

Gotta save the good Silver Centurion Iron Man armor for later...since, ya know, no one's buying the Marvel Universe version either.

I'm home in KC and hit a few stores. Found this wave apparently because I got the Modern Armor, Arctic Armor and a couple Hulkbusters. Didn't see any comic Mongers or the movie Ultimate armor so I might get them from HTS if they're still available (though I think Monger is sold out). And I hit K-Mart and grabbed a Proving Grounds 3-pack. Man that camo War Machine looks really sweet. Iron Tron though had a pretty loose chest joint. Good thing he's just going on a base and not being played with much.

Also snagged the 6" Mark V that I needed. There supposedly is an unmasked Mark IV floating around Wal-Mart too but I didn't see it.

both those figures look awesome!!!! I've only seen the IV once when my friend bought it, but it looks just as good as the V(which is fantastic IMO).

As for the 4in line, I think I'm done after the unmasked stark, rhodes, and Widow set. I've got the comic versions i care for and what I don't have I don;t like. Most of the Concept armors don't do much for me. I may cherry pick a few here and there, but I'll be picky Im sure.

I just found the unmasked 6in Mk4 this past week. Re uses a lot of the Mk6 parts, which is fine. The paint mask on the unmasked head's goatee is off kilter, so I'll have to fix that, but I like the figure overall.

You might try dunking the Holo IM in boiling water, I had another IM figure with a loose upper torso and while disassembling it I noticed that after I took it out of the water the torso had tightened up.

I finally found the Silver Centurion (and a metric arseload of Hulkbusters) weekend before last. I don't know why anyone would complain about the Silver Centurion. It's a great figure.

If I've got a complaint about the line in general, it's the inconsistency in coloration. I'd far and away prefer to have real metallic gold t the yellow paint they use on most of the comic armors, and I wish they'd pick a red and stick with it.

Other than that, I'm loving the line. And I've bought way more Iron Man armors than I ever thought I'd want or need. I blame the scale. They're so easy to display en masse.

Personally I don't care for most of the classic comic armors. Not that they aren't translated to plastic well, cuz they are. Just that the designs themselves don't appeal to me. I like the more modern "realistic" designs myself.

That said, I'd have picked up the one Silver Centurion I found if his paint wasn't messed up. The red "tab" on his forehead was way off center and very noticable. Otherwise I'd have grabbed him for someone here.

If I was collecting the MU figure completely I think the Silver Centurion would fit right in. Its a nice looking figure and looks to be a fairly accurate translation to figure form. Not perfect but not horrible either. A nice addition to a comic figure collection I think. Just like I said, not my taste.

Don't know if this old news or not, but the $5 coupons that say you have to purchase $20 worth of stuff, well today at K-Mart I bought one figure and was still able to use the coupon. So instead of $8, I paid $3. Which is good, because it is rare that one store will have all the figures you want that would total $20.

Not sure if this works at other chains, but it worked at both K-Marts I visited today.

Well I just bit the bullet and bought 2 sets of the Air and Weapon Drones off ebay for well over retail. So these two should start hitting shelves in abundance now.

I just picked up 2 each of the Drones at Wal-Mart, they ring up at $6.96, while Centurion & comic Iron Monger scanned at $7.88. Then took one of the $5 off coupons to Target and used it on a 3pk, got it for $12 and had no problem using it eventhough my purchase wasnt over $20 bucks.

I think the drones should start getting easier to find. They're in two seperate waves, and the it seems the last wave is coming through late to coincide with the new wave.
So now is the best time to find them it seems.

I found Fusion armor (blue mk3), Weapon and Air Drones and Whiplash at Walmart. Advance armor was there too but it's both ugly and based off the crappy MK4. Plus both the light up and regular MK6's were repainted to be movie acurate.

Never saw the comic wave around here.

I finaly got Air Drone and Fusion armors on friday, grabbed the Movie Ultimate armor for poops and fun, Not terrible, just sadly named really. That and its the crappy Mark IV repaint rather than the Mark II/III as it should have been.
