Got my DVD and Hal figure today. I have to say, this is the best DCIH figure ever.

Image

Unfortunately, that's like having the shiniest chunk of "LASER BLAST" in a turd-polishing contest :-/

Image

(crap, now I see where I missed some spots on custom Hal. Stupid 12.1 megapixel mother&#$%ing camera  )

The new joints are very good - in fact, if it weren't for the stupid t-crotch and the midget proportions, Mattel might actually have something worth collecting.

Let's hope the new ball-joint hipped figs are a smidge taller so they can actually work with other toy lines. But I won't hold my breath.

Now to watch the flick! :D

The flick isnt half bad IMO.... :-)

With that said i hope that the new ball jointed hips dont increase the size of the figures. Thats one of the few reasons (the height. I dont want 4'' inch plus 3 3/4'' " figures) ive paid attention to this line despite its short comings (no pun intended :shifty: ).

I just got the Bluray version of First Flight. I thought the acting and action were pretty good. Heck, I'm here visiting my parents and my mom liked it! Sadly, the last Bluray copy had a figure with goofed-up mask paint. It's not totally bad, but as a half anal collector, it's noticeable. The mask aside, the added articulation is great. I can't wait for the next step in DCIH evolution.

I also grabbed the Gotham Knight 3-pack last night.

Deadshot is pretty much crap. They didn't do the cut elbows correctly, so he can't put his rifle in a firing pose. The cuts should have been designed so the arms rotate to 90 degs when turned to the side, like SW figures. These rotate to 90 degs when turned forward. Better yet, they should have been ball jointed like Hal's.

I hated this Scarecrow until I got him out and messed around with him. I'd still rather have the single pack version, but this will do in the meantime.

I really bought the pack for the Batman. Such a cool design and sculpt. He's taller than Hal by about 3/8" with broader shoulders. He's got perfectly proportionate hands unlike most of the other figures. It looks like they may have had a grapple gun or batarang designed for him judging by his right hand with "trigger finger." My favorite Batman between the two sculpts we've gotten so far from DCIH.

Finally got Martian Manhunter today at Target, they had the whole wave minus Bizzaro, but MM was the only one with the new articulation, so he was the only one I got.

that Martian Manhunter is great... I hope I find one so I can turn him into Radioactive Man and repurpose that cape for Dr. Strange.

The price at one of my Targets increased to $6.99! :-x
They only have older figures(which they will never get rid of now).

Martian Manhunter is NICE. Had they started the line this way.....

Better late than never though. Ive made an effort to pick up all of the newly articulated V3 body DC figures.

J'onn is a nice figure. If only we could get one in the DCUC line . . . .

The rest of this wave, which I've now seen at multiple Targets, is Psycho Pirate, Blue Beetle, Black Mary (Mary Marvel drawing on Black Adam's power instead of Billy's), Bizarro, and Red Arrow. All of those are either straight repacks/repaints or use the old body. I think the only new parts in the wave other than Manhunter are Beetle and Psycho Pirates head and Pirates cape.

Picked up Manhunter yesterday at Target. They had the others except Bizarro & Beetle, but I passed on them. Manhunter's nice. I think his collar's a tad thick, but I like him.

As I understand it, a DCUC Martian Manhunter is planned for either Wave 15 or Wave 16, so figure, late 2010. Definitely looking forward to this LOOOONNNNG overdue addition to DCUC. Meanwhile, I wouldn't say no to the DCIH version.

A tip I picked up from a member at TheFwoosh, is to soften up the collar with boiling water and then u can reshape the collar to ur liking.
