At TRU for $3.99 they had these 1:18 scale Rock/Rap star mini statue figures I thought you guys might be interested in knowing about. They are a little on the small side but might be cool for dio background fodder. I saw Alice Cooper, Slash, Ice T, and Jam MAster J.

Neat. How detailed/realistic are these?

Fairly detailed but not with the best paint apps. Slash's hair didn't look right. I've seen diecast car figures like this sell for 8-15 bucks a piece and these are about the same quality PVC plastic as those. They definitely looked like who they were supposed to be, with the exception of Ice T who could have been anybody.

Thanks, sounds like they could still be cool background features for maybe a Dred bar or something.

Seems like a bargain.

I had a quick search for information about these, and there could also be band sets with KISS and AC/DC, and maybe some Run DMC figures.

When you say slightly smaller, do you mean smaller than the RoC & tall 25th & more inline with ARAH?
I may hunt these down & remove the heads for custom articulated figures.

I mean smaller all the way around. Like maybe 1/19 scale. In the picture, Alice Cooper, Baroness, and Slash all have their feet at the same place. While Slash has a power guitar stance, you can see Cooper is still an inch shorter than her. Also Ice T's head looked too small to use on a GI Joe figure body. Not quite pin headed, but close. I honestly wouldn't considering using these for custom fodder. Dio background is about it.

Came to the same conclusion when I saw these a couple weeks ago. Still thought about Slash for the guitar, and still think about the KISS set cause...well, cause it's KISS. But nothing else custom wise lights my fire with these. I'd snatch them up for under $2 each if they ever get clearanced though.

Would make an interesting GIJOE USO tour diorama. ;-)

Just like the wrestling equivalent would make a good WWE tour dio. I'd get it just for the top hat for an Oscar Wilde 1:18 custom.
