I saw a pretty nice looking base at Toys R Us today. I decided to stop in on my way to work. It was $40 and looks better than the Power Team Elite one to me. It comes with a helicopter, 4 wheeler, 1 crappy figure, and the base. I shot a picture with my cell phone, but I won't be able to attach that until tonight.

Also the Black Hawk and F-22 are on sale for $14.99. It's a good time to load up on those. If I had the room I'd build up a "G.I.Joe precision flight team".

I snagged the new gray camo F22 yesterday...hard to resist at that price, plus it looks snazzier than the all-black one. Although, hmmm...didn't see this TH Base you speak of. Must go back... :shifty:

Saw at my TRU also. Saw out-of-box pic's on another site and it looks pretty cool, nice detail. Kinda looks like the second ARAH Joe HQ, would make a nice add on to any other playset's like the PTE HQ.

Links to the pics (unless it's that one site)?

Can't you mirror the pics? I'm not finding said pictures of the Headquarters.

That looks pretty neat.
Here's hoping my area gets it.

Well it looks more fun to be certain, what with the lights and sounds cannon, the elevator, the helicopter landing pad, the jail, the machine gun posts, etc.

I think they're enjoyable on different levels. The PTE building gives us that "realistic" setting. Basic building, tables chairs and lockers to decorate it, etc. The True Heroes base, however, gives us that "fun military action" setting where you have all the big fights and soldiers manning battle stations.

That looks very much like the Chap Mei Police Station set.

Looks like it would make a good add-on to the PTE Command Post set. :-)

Reminds me of the 1990's Joe Headquarters...

I guess for me, I look at the Power Team Elite HQ and think "I can build that and add more stuff". It's pretty much the "shoe box" idea. Then with this one I look at it and know that while I might could build most of it, I'd have to customize to get the things like the elevator and such. Sometimes that's the way I end up looking at things, which ends up giving me the thought that the harder one to build is better over all. Also this one has more play features. Maybe it helps too that it looks like the G.I.Joe HQ as well.

I saw this at TRU today but couldn't take a closer look at it as it was on the top shelf, the one above the storage bins where they put the overstock. And I didn't want to ask someone to get it down only to not buy it. But it looks HUGE and would make for some great bedroom battles. Just wish I had the room because it would be a great base for my dream Pit playset.
