Meijer's has Star Wars, GI Joe, Marvel and Transformers figures on sell for $5 each until Sunday. Got my local Walmart to price match. Good deal in the continuing saga of $5 Joes.

Adventures in Price Matching with your host Goldbug

• First I went straight to Meijer to see if they had anything left worth picking up. Of course not!
  So I pick up a couple of ads to take with.
  
• Next I headed to Target and got 2 Helixes for KoP. I went to the service counter. They had lots of signs showing that they will price match a competitors ad. So I give the ad & the clerk does it. She didn't even keep the circular.
  
• After Target I headed to Kohl's which is behind Meijer. Surprise! They have NEW figures! Plus wave 1 Bravo vehicles. Kohl's rarely stocks vehicles. I took Crimson NeoViper & Paris Pursuit Baroness up to the counter. I asked the cashier if they price match? She then proceeds to ask her boss. "We don't price match Meijer." I took them anyway for $8.79. I'm returning them tomorrow.
  
• Then I stopped at Super Walmart #1 which is right next to Kohl's. To my surprise they had figures at $5! They even had wave 2 Alpha vehicles! I decided I would get the vehicles later.
  
• My next stop was at Super Walmart #2 five minutes away. Their Joes were still $6. I got them to price match the new MU Bullseye for $5.
  
• My last stop was to my own local Kohl's. There was the coolest clerk I have ever met! I showed her a swiped Storm Shadow card that had scotch tape on it. Then I asked if they price match. "Yes we do." I got another Crimson NeoViper for $5! Not only that she asked if I wanted to save an extra 15% buy applying for a Kohls card! I politely declined but I may go later to get the 3 PIT commandos with that extra 15% later! Then it gets even better! She says "Thanks for shopping with us instead of them."

Oh and this week alpha AND bravo vehicles are $12.99

Good haul my friend! Just so you know TRU will not price match so don't waste any time there.

What's the normal price of the Cobra Gunship? It's in the $12.99 at Meijer this week grouping. But I haven't purchased ROC vehicles yet to know the price points.

Last week at TRU the SW Turbo Tank was 50% off for $49.99. Wasn't able to do anything about it that day, despite seeing it in-store. This week, it's back up to $79. Probably a missed opportunity there.

Wife was with me... lol I prefer she know my madness in an indirect fashion, and not a stand in the check-out line with me fashion, when it comes to $50 on a toy I didn't necessarily set out looking for. lol. But yeah, been regretting it since.

My wife was going to get it for me, but didn't realize the sale ended at 1 PM, (even though I had mentioned it several times) so she missed it.

Thank you for telling me this - I think by the time we got to the register, it would have been past 1pm anyway, so then I'd have been extra disappointed. lol

And DJ - yeah, I know it would. I'll keep my eye out for the next sale. That's what I kept telling myself on the BMF too, and that never happened

I did grab one of the Meijer $12.99 Cobra gunships yesterday, and I'm very please with that purchase. It is earmarked as an EXCAL vehicle for sure. Also got one of the humvees, but that goes to my kid's stash for when he's older.
