CC4:D12 - Create a TRU-style 5 or 6 Pack #12

This is kind of like virtual customizing. Here's the "game":

- Each day I'll post the name for a new G.I.Joe Toys R Us-style ARAH/New Sculpt 6 pack or 25th style 5 pack.
- Based off of the name, you decide which faction it is and what figures would be included in the set.
- Post the names of the figures and the parts that would be used for each.
- Let's try to keep this as realistic as possible. Thus, don't have more than one "new" piece on the parts lists. Stick with existing molds.
- Try to only use parts that we know that Hasbro has.
- For ARAH, I suppose you could list a balljoint head for a straight head torso (since they did mod one in the GreenShirt set).
- Feel free to list what colors characters would be.

Today's name is: Cold War

A set named Cold War has almost got to be G.I. Joe vs the Oktober Guard, and I'm going to be a little nit-picky here and suggest a few Guards that could use just a little tweaking.

ARAH set, of course.

For the Joes, I'd bring in Duke, who had that modern comic book set with Red Star, although I'd put Duke in his original uniform, instead of all green, and Stalker, since he was involved in the original Oktober Guard adventure, and I thought that the figure of him that came with the Oktober Guard 3-pack was extremely impressive.

As for the Guards:

DAINA - Redo her head with the pilot's helmet instead of the fur hat. Redo her uniform (same molds as before) in the gold-and-green camo. Use the back cover to G.I. Joe Yearbook #2 for reference.

SCHRAGE - Same molds as before, but give him a light green uniform, which he often wore after his first appearance.

DRAGONSKY - Same as before, but (and I know this was a gripe at the time, although it didn't bother me that much, I was just glad to have a figure of him) give him a helmet this time.

LT. GORKY - The one figure that was just a little disappointing to me in a couple of respects (although I'm glad to have him, too). Use a different torso, maybe the Red Star one, which I know was used extensively in making the Guard, but the one they used just made Gorky look too big relative to the others. I also believe his uniform should be a much darker grey. Use a Strato-Viper for a color reference.

Now, there's always the possibility of a second set, that could include Scarlett, and perhaps Flint, who was involved in the first mission with the "new" Oktober Guard, and include figures of COL. BREKHOV, HORROR-SHOW, STORMAVIK, and SGT. MISHA, although none of these would really need to be modified from their original releases.

lets see..

I'd probably do this as a RAH 6 pack as well:

Cold War

Joes:

Chuckles: Espionage team leader.

I would keep him in his original form, but with a silver pistol.

Scoop: Survealence Specialist

Original RAH parts, but with Olive drab instead of the yellow color, with black trim and black eqipment

Mace: Infiltration specialist

Original RAH version with grey trim, and "bluejeans" colored torso/ legs)

Red Star: Soviet Espionage Specialist (he would be used to infiltrate America and gater intel on the U.s.

Original uniform, but sans hat, and more neutral dark grey color.

Darklon: Eastern Bloc Europe Dictator
(well, someone has to be the leak between destro, Eastern Bloc countries, and the U.S.)

Keep his original parts, but a darker green color.

Chameleon (In Disguise): Cobra/ MARS Spy

She would be the Spy working for both Cobra and Mars

Baroness head, Jinx Body and Arms (painted light blue with flower pattern similar to CHuckles), Lady Jaye Waist/Legs (painted "Bluejeans color")

As much as I would love to do the obvious Oktober Guard set, the Cold War is over.

Gonna go with the espionage/industrial espionage angle (I foresee a fair number of night operations, so most character will be equipped appropriately)

(Any character in highlight is my personal creation)

The JOEs

Action Man: New head sculpt on a RoC Shipwreck body. Accessories include Jati 9mm, silenced 9mm pistol, assorted pouches.

Agent Faces: New head sculpt on a Crimson Guard or Iron Grenadier body with removable helmets.

Chuckles:
-Option 1-Cobra Island Set head on Crimson Guard or Iron Grenadier body with removable helmets.
-Option 2-Cobra Island Set head on og13 body done in black and includes alternate 'Beachhead' style hooded version.

Shortpack: Subject is a former Olympic class Gymnast who's Father was a prominent ex-cat burglar that did special operations for the NSA and CIA. She has a background in security systems, electronics, and given her athletic abilities she uses her skills to test the security systems of corporations and other high profile installations. Figure should look like a skintight bodysuit, in black, with numerous devices on the head, arms, wrists, waist, backpack, etc. Accessories include abseiling gear, night vision goggles, min-laptop etc. (I'm talking Mission Impossible type gear and look crossed with Sgt Hacker type devices). Figure is made from a shortened limbed RoC Scarlett (Armor) with Hard Drive-style arm electronics, with new masked head sculpt.

Cobra

Diamondback: New Cobra female espionage agent that reports directly to the Baroness, she is the best agent to come from the Night Stalker Corps. Figure is made from using the arms of 25th Baroness, the legs of the Cobra Soldier, the waist of 25th Scarlett, and a new head and torso. Paint apps include subdued scale pattern on back.

Iron Grenadiers

Banshees: New Iron Grenadier female espionage agent that reports directly to Destro, they are the espionage agents of the Iron Grenadiers. Figure is made using the body of the Baroness (Diver) along with lower legs/arms of the RoC Scarlett (Armor) with new head sculpt (with a helmet design similar to Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

I kinda like the Oktober Guard theme that everyone's been taking but I think I'm going to take it in just a little different direction. Again, done in the 25th/RoC Style

BOX BLURB: The Oktober Guard takes on General Mayhem, leader of Cobra's Russian division (called Vympel after the Cold War KGB sabotage group). Can the Oktober Guard keep General Mayhem from stealing Soviet nuclear weapons?

Red Star: Use the mold Hasbro has established (using fixed Duke arms) but paint it him in the brown and tan camo scheme that his 1991 figure had. Equip him with his hat, a Scarface AK-47, a Lt. Falcon backpack with radio and knife, and a Cobra Bazooka Trooper RPG.

Big Bear: Use an Outback head, Snake-Eyes v1 torso and arms, and Crimson Guard legs. Paint him like the 1992 figure. Equip him with a Russian hat (which I'm guessing Hasbro can poach from the INDIANA JONES line somewhere), the Snake-Eyes v1 webgear, an Outback machine gun, and a Gung-Ho grenade launcher.

Dragonsky: Use a Serpentor v1 head, Charbroil torso, Resolute Duke arms and HISS Driver legs. Paint the body with a base color of dark grey and purple trim. Equip him with the Charbroil helmet, Blowtorch chest pad and flamethrower and a Lt. Falcon shotgun.

General Mayhem: New Sculpt head to look like the GIJCC version and the RoC Destro body. Paint him the main body dark brown with crimson trim. Equip him with a Crimson Guard revolver and the Alley Viper machine gun.

Vympel Fighters x2: Resolute Trooper head, RoC Neo-Viper torso, Beachhead v1 arms, Resolute Duke legs. Paint them with a dark brown base and black trim. Equip them with a Resolute Trooper vest (painted dark grey) and helmet, two Resolute Trooper machine guns, a Range Viper grenade launcher and a Flint shotgun.

Cold War

A flashback to the mid 1980s. A similar setup to the short story The Living Daylights, where someone is going from East Berlin to West Berlin, and there are snipers on each side of the wall helping and hindering that.

Ripcord had parachuted into East Germany, to bring back some documents. But double agents had made it impossible for him to escape the country as planned, so now he has to go across the fortified partition between East Berlin and West Berlin, at a specific time known to G.I. Joe but with the Oktober Guard hunting him.

Ripcord - Dressed in black, carrying a briefcase.

Snow Job - Entered West Berlin under the cover of instructing local children in skiing. Is positioned in an apartment overlooking Ripcord's escape path across the wall. Armed with sniper rifle.

Rock N' Roll - Helping Snow Job identify targets and Rip Cord. Also has a big machine gun in case things get out of hand.

Clutch - Parked outside apartment building working on an Audi Quattro automobile. Under instructions to have automobile produce loud backfiring noises to cover the sound of Snow Job shooting.

Daina - Positioned in watch tower, waiting to get Rip Cord. With big sniper rifle.

Schrage - Backup for Daina, carrying AK-47.
