Aside from City Strike Snake Eyes, a couple of figures I want for custom ideas and some "army builder" fodder, plus the exclusives that are suppose to be out right now (Target and K-Mart), I'm up to date. Mostly due to HTS getting the stuff in stock, but my wallet hurts bad from it. I'm really hating it as far as expense goes.

There is a lot of cool stuff, but it's times like this I miss the old days of there being a set amount of stuff tricked out through the year. This is the time I wish there was the old catalog insert with all the new stuff and that was going to be it. The internet I guess is what killed that since people would pre-order, ebay, or whatever to get it all as soon as possible.

I do like the ROC stuff, I just would like a little break from it. Sure I can just stop buying and take a break, but if it's coming out and is something I'd want, I'd have to go back and buy it later anyway, so may as well just buy it as it comes out. I hate it though. I hope after this next batch of figures and exclusives that we can get a break until after Christmas at least.

I'm being more selective with most of the lines I collect, generally speaking. I don't think it's so much a matter of age, money (although that IS a considerable factor, but I'm not sure it would change all THAT much of my financial situation improved except for being able to get some items sooner than later), or available space, as just what I'm impressed with.

I've been pretty underwhelmed, with the new stuff, myself. I collects Joes, and Transformers. Right now, both are in the midst of movie related lines, and I haven't been terribly impressed, with either. I think I've bought maybe three ROC figures, that I'm not planning to kitbash, and one of those still got his helmet drybrushed.

I only collect Joes, so I don't have as much to look for as some of you guys. Even so, I can't find the Doctor wave or Walmart two packs yet, which is frustrating because I know some folks have had them for a while now and are on to the Charbroil set.

I just saw pictures of the Pursuit of Cobra stuff again recently, and I was reminded of hoe incredible those figures are. I imagine that stuff is going to be even tougher to lay hands on.

I, for one, am really trying to pass on the POC stuff. I feel like between ROC and the 25th, I've been rooked into buying WAY more non-O-ring stuff than I ever expected.

The new figures have been great, and the vehicles are amazing, too, but I'm running out of room. I thought when I started collecting a few years ago, I'd get my little squad of Joes and Cobras, but now I've got army-builders up the wazoo and MOC Joes all over the wall and it's like - enough already!

I've got way more than I ever imagined, Joe-wise. And even though the new gear and new interpretations of characters are great, do I really need another Destro with a fur-lined collar or another Snow Job or Zartan? Ditto all the vehicles, which are either neat new updates that I'm only so-so into, or cool repaints of things I've already got 2 or 3 of, so it's hard to feel compelled, you know?

I always say this to myself and buckle, which is why I think I might have a plastic action figure problem. Anyway, better to draw boundaries and then fudge on a splurge then go in thinking I'm gonna complete the line, IMO.
