A: LOL @ $10 apiece for single figures.

B: Why does Jake Sully have articulated legs?

Vehicles- OK.
Monsters- Yay!
Wheelchair- OMG YAY!!!
Figures- Meh.

I want several wheelchairs for various ideas I've had floating around for a few years.

The monsters will probably join either my Cobra-La setup or my Star Wars arena monsters.

The vehicles look great, but I don't need anymore vehicles. I MAY get the AMP suit if it hits clearance, but the others I'll pass on.

The figures look pretty crappy. Total skip.

I think the figures come with an electronic interactive chip and he has to sit :-P

That'a pretty much the same thing I was thinking.
Gunship escorts for the DragonHawk.

The Scorpion and the Sigma 6 Dragonhawk make me think of Command & Conquer's various GDI Orca hoverships.

Awesome.

I'm really not impressed with the figures. I have to get a better look at the figures in person.

The vehicles look pretty good, if anything they have custom potential.

Has anyone seen any previews of this Avatar movie?

Chad

If its 3 3/4 scale, I'll grab that wheelchair... need it for the second half of a custom I'm allready making.

Got the AMP and Grinder in today. Haven't taken the AMP out but got the Grinder out first impression its okay. Detail is decent. The treads on back are rubber but they do not move. It could make a good custom for dreadnock vehicle.

I'll have a better write up soon on both vehicles.

I got the Scorpion Chopper coming in the mail in by end of week!

I'll have some pics up as soon as possible!

I heard it's to cover the cost of the time machine Mattel built to take them back to the early 1990s, when these figures must've been prototyped, because they look terrible.

While I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Rise of Meh movie line, they completely blow the Avatar toys away, and Mattel's charging more? They really need to hire some better sculptors and reassess their mass-market lines-- there's no reason why their product should look obsolete even before it hits shelves. Hasbro is stomping them and it's embarassing.

Mattel have always been pretty awful at boys toys, especially action figures. Pretty much their best DC figures are sculpted by ringers, aren't they? Toy designers that they have to advertise at conventions and such so people will know the toys will at least be half-decent?

Playmates' offerings are embarrassing when compared to Hasbro's various 3'3/4" figures - the sculpting quality on the Terminator and Star Trek toys look like they came from the 1990s. And what's with Terminator Salvation's cheesy early 90s colourful packaging?

I hope the Scorpion helicopter is good.

I saw some previews a few weeks ago when I saw Inglorious Bastrerds. Looked pretty exciting. I hope it does well, because the trailer made me realize how much I miss original Hollywood properties.
