I recently ordered two Rex "The Doctor Lewis" Figures from Hasbro Toy Shop. I ordered two thinking I would get at least one black coat, which is what I wanted. I also was under the impression (albeit maybe wrong) that the white coat was the more rare of the two.

So the package arrives yesterday. TWO WHITE COATS. I was able to make a trade in 23 minutes (still looking for one more black coat though ). After I posted my trade offer, pluv noted he had the same experience.

Which begs the question, is the white coat version of the figure a running change?

Hmm, that would be nice to be able to order and get the white coat version like that. That's what I want myself is 2, well 3 actually. I'd jump over there and order right away if I knew I'd get all 3 as the white coat. I haven't even seen the black coat version in store though.

EDIT: After posting I went and looked on the site. he's sold out now so maybe they held back the white coat version until the last of the orders to fill.

Yeah, they had been sold out for awhile, but went back up again when the Charbroil wave went up, so that wave was filled with White Coats.

My feeling is that this and the unmasked SS are variants more like black headed Destro and clear Wraith - less common. Just because the movie appearance was black coat.

I'd take one in a f'n technicolor dream coat at this point...he's still the one figure I absolutely cannot find.

I hit two targets and a Wally World plus TRU today and the newest figure I could find was the ParaViper (of which I snagged five...the recolor amped up the cool factor on this mold to eleven on a scale of ten).

I need two white-coat doctors and I'll be set.

I HOPE it's a running change. The other ROC "variants" thus far have been, so I tend to think it is but Hasbro calls it a variant so who really knows.

I'd like to find at least 3 or 4 white coat Doctors for various things, but at this point I'd be shocked to see one. It took forever to find my black coat.

I was surprised when my HTS order arrived and I got the white coat version. I haven't seen this wave anywhere yet, and I actually wanted the black coat since thats the movie look. I would think the movie accurate black coat will continue to ship in future assortments.

Than again, how many of the movie line figures thus far have actually appeared on film as depicted in toy form?
