So many great figures here. Realistic updates of old specialities.
Torpedo -> Wet Suit
Flash -> Sci Fi
Breaker -> Dial Tone
Doc -> Lifeline
Snow Job -> Iceberg
New characters with great sculpts in the likes of Beach Head, Low Light and Mainframe. Old characters in superior updates: Hawk and Roadblock.

One of the vehicle drivers should get the vote for their head sculpts, but then I remember the awesome accessories they came with, both Tomahawk and Conquest being all time favourites in the vehicle departement. Cross Country gets the vote, since I don't have a Havoc.

Torn between the Fridge and Slaughter.

Not a wrestling fan, and I did not like guest appearances in my Joe comic. That was for Scooby Doo, not a "serious and mature" comic like G.I. Joe.......

Anywho, I disliked the Sarge based on his appearance in issue ...51...or 52?
The Fridge tahnkfully, never made an appearance.

Fridge. The Bears were not kind to the Patriots that year. :cry: Plus the figure is pretty useless, although it did give us Football on a stick/chain.

I don't think any of the figures actually are bad, but I unfortunately had to go with my hometown Joe Cross-Country because of the enormous melon.

This one was a tough call because they're all good characters, but I ultimately went with Lift-Ticket. If I could have chosen a second one, it would've been Roadblock -- and for the same reason on both of them... sloppy sculpts.

Lift-Ticket's mouth, at least on mine (and I saw several others just like it) had this one weird upturned side to it like he was trying to do an Elvis impression or something. I performed a little "plastic surgery" on mine to even it out.

Roadblock -- cool uniform design, but overall, just looked like they'd derived the molds from a sculpt that was one step short of "final stage". There were a lot of uneven lines on it, and less-than-finished-looking detailing.

Lifeline. Would've have voted for Sci-Fi, but I'm not a "neon hater"

Love me some Fridge & Slaughter

Had to go with Lift Ticket. Over all I like his sculps, but his head is huge, has the goofy smirk and his chin could rival Jay Leno, something carried over to his animated version.

I'd also have to with Cross Country because of the huge head and his reinforcement of the negative stereotype that country music is good and should be considered music.

The Fridge.

Sgt. Slaughter was a gimmick figure, too, but at least the militaristic concept surrounding the wrestler made it easier to accept him as a GI Joe character. This is especially true if one ignored the existence of professional wrestling only only looked at the figure.

The Fridge was just stupid looking. Sgt. Slaughter's various uniforms looked bearable (and the Warthog version was just perfect) but Mr. Perry's atrocious blend of athletic attire and attack football... well... you get the point.

:scifi: He started the neon rainbow. But he is still better than 90% of the 25th anniversary figures.

Blowtorch started it. SciFi just has the dayglo balls to be 2nd in that line. They're both god awful figures.

But Lifeline is worse. Between the loud shade of "SHOOT ME! I'm the MEDIC!!" red and the bright shiny white boots, that is easily one of the ugliest stupidest fiigures in the pre-1992 line. And his characterization on the show made that godawful toy into a godawful asanine character as well.
