Do any of you guys that collect the foreign figures know anything about these. the fact that the plastic bubbles are stapled on make me a lil bit suspicious

a lot of what sells at retail in many south american (And mexico) stores is downright odd. lotsa bootlegs and what appears to be home made packaging/really cheaply produced stuff isn't very uncommon at all.

i think they safety standards/expectations are way different than ours.

Completely legit. A ton of Plastirama overstock figures were purchased and repackaged in a varity of ways. The Johnny Quest toys are just one example. You can find pretty much all of the series 3 figures on JQ cards (including the popular ninjas) if you look hard enough.

Back when the Argentine overstock carded figures first turned up, these were pretty common and incredibly inexpensive. Not quite so any more, though.
