Oh. Right. Okay.

I just saw one of those yesterday. Almost bought it too. But then I was like "what do I need that for anyway?" and passed.

Buy a case then and you get them for $9-10 a fig depending on shipping(The same you would pay in a retail store driving from store to store looking and looking and then finally finding the while wave). I guess I'm the only one that doesn't see it as a big deal, they're breaking up a case for YOU to have a wave 5 set. They're taking the time and setting those aside and then getting stuck with the rest of the "peg warmers" where you the fan will get the ones that everyone wants. In a year or so, they'll have a bunch of Duke, Snake Eyes, Ripcords and Stormshadows in their clearance bins just to get rid of all those figures that came in those cases. Everyone wants something handed to them on a silver platter, but they fail to see the work that went into making that platter.

Oh are they doing that for me? How nice of them! I thought they were doing that to make money. I had no idea their goal was to help me out.

Course I don't deal with them so their efforts are in vain. Even if you buy a solid case from them, the figures are still cheaper at retail (I don't have to drive all over, I shop when I'm in the area) or practically any other online store. And their shipping quotes are always stupid.

I know BBTS has a lot of fans, but I'm not one. And jacking up the prices because "they have to break up a case" doesn't help their cause in my eyes.

I'll get my silver platter someplace else thanks.

That's become my thinking on just about every figure now (Joe and Marvel). Troop building is no longer an option for me either and even though I would like to get one of each of the repaints of Vipers/NeoVipers, I still haven't been able to bring myself to spend the money on them.
I'm pretty much at my limit with pricing now. I'm not saying I'll never buy another figure if the price goes up but I will say it better be as close to perfect as it can get before I'll buy it.

I found the Walmart exclusive 2 packs today.....14 bucks a pop. I was expecting 12 same as the comic packs but I guess since they don't pack in a comic and don't use as much packaging they can charge 14....oh wait, I have that backwards :shifty:.

In all seriousness, I would like to own all 3 of the packs but will only buy one a the moment and if the others arn't there when I got the cash to drop on them they will just not be there. They are great looking figures and even though its 2 bucks more than I expected....still that is 2 bucks more that would be towards the other set. I get that "hey they are still cheaper than buying 2 single packs". True they are, unless you only buy them when there is a sale on(which I have been doing to save money on the figures I really want.)
