So I know that a lot of UK Tiger Force stuff is rare but this just seems crazy to me....

I know that some people go with the logic that an item is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it but what do you guys think? Is this a little too spendy or is it actually in the ball park? As someone who considers himself a pretty educated international collector, I almost feel stupid for having to evan ask this.

Hehe, yeah that's what I don't understand. Something like that sells for a price like that and I can't even sell an $8 item on Ebay.

Damn. Thats almost what a complete TF blizzard goes for. I saw a MOC one at the con for $300.

If only I had known that the helmet was so valuble and the figure was so worthless.

Thats exactly why I thought it was kinda nuts. I had been watching the auction because I had been thinking about upgrading my helmet due to it being a little dirty and having a little bit of the silver worn away. That is certainly not gonna happen with prices like this.

I'd guess it's a case of 2 bidders both thinking I'll just toss a big snipe it it and complete my figure. Honestly...how often do you see just the Helmet offered? not very often....Same with Night Force figures or any of the other "rare" items

I'm totally willing to pay $30-40 for a Star Duster Visor because I need it, Never see it offered for sale on it's own...and the full figure is going for triple that.

I got TF Blizzard missing everything but his guns about 8 years ago for way cheaper than just the cost of this helmet. I was able to complete him cheaply myself with all the easier to find US gear (BP, skis, iceboots, helmet). Just painted the helmet yellow and I'm happy. I'll never sell him, and for display it looks fine.

This is crazy for just one piece of a figure.

I'm sometimes amazed what some people ask for items and what they go for. I've bought two Tomahawks, both only missing one rotor blade and one missing two seats. Both went for about $25, whereas I've seen some people selling Tomahawks missing everything and they ask $50 bucks and it still sells for $75.
Depends on who is looking for what and when I guess.

I dug that helmet out of a parts box at the Con 2 years ago. Cost: 50 cents. I gave it to somebody that really needed it since I don't have the figure.

But if I did have the figure, I'll bet you I could find one in decent shape for a lot less than that. I've seen SO many "rare" accessories in bins and lots. All it takes is a little patience.

I've got a business proposition for you. "Soulgem & Beav's Hundred Dollar Helmets". 60/40 profit split. Just supply the helmets and I'll do the rest.

:shifty:

If it works then we'll do "Soulgem & Beav's Fifty Buck Backpacks" and "Soulgem & Beav's Seventy Five Greenback Guns".
