So far, this is how the Joe figures are kind'a sort'a fitting in.

I used Heavy Duty as that character, but gave him a new head (used the one je came with to update my I eberg custom).

I've got jobs lined up for CC and Rex. The former is likely going to become my Overlord and the latter will be the father of Cobra La. Yeah...I'm going there.

Much as I hated the way Cobra La was handled in the toon, I love the Nemesis Enforcer we got in the 25th line and feel like he should have some company. I think the Crimson Neo Vipers work very well as Royal Guards. Not sure if I'll include a Golobulus or not, but thst'd almost have to be a custom.

I'm also planning to use Speed Metal as Destro's Nullifiers.

Basically I'll cherry pick the line for what fits in my universe (the MARS troopers and officer not so much) and happily pass on the stuff that doesn't fit so I can buy more Marvel Universe and retooled DC Infinite Heroes figures.

Hasbro still comes out with a lot of my toy budget.

When I look at the figure, she's Jessica Simpson from 'Private Valentine'. I haven't seen the movie, but I saw the trailer for it.

MarkM, as part of my 'verse, I did make up other troops for Destro. I realized he couldn't just use the IGs all over the place.

I turned to the dictionary and google to find appropriate words for codenames.

The Banshees are female troops that deal with Espionage/Banking/Auditing/Assassinations.

The Broadswords are male troops specializing in Personal Security/Bodyguard/CBQ/Defensive Driving.

I think that is what I would use the ROC troops for, although any ROC troop with armor is definitely an assault trooper first and foremost.

I haven't really sat down and gone through the ROC figures to fit them in to my universe. I'll have to do that soon.

Im keeping my new sculpt and Arah figures as the same from the cartoon, marvel ddp comic contiuities.

the 25th stuff and Roc stuff are the new re launch ideas but changed a bit.

25th hawk, duke, and others are the same Roc Ripcord is duke old friend but has taken the call sign since the older ripcord is now retired. Roc Breaker is an new character. may use the AF name for him or rename him. all the other named Roc figures are the same just new gear but Roc style delta 6 is a small unit of joes that are picked for special missions outside of what the US knows about. Roc Cover Girl is just another joe chick that will get a new codename. I even thought about having the originals be retired and the new relaunched guys are their replacement same basic mentalities and personalities just more tweekable.
Snake-eyes and Scarlett stays the same cept they both know about the Cobra Storm Storm shadow is a Clone and has been driven mad with programing and repeated brainwave scanner sessions.
The real Tommy is in semi retirement hiding and training apprentices to start a new arahakage Clan/school

The Storm Shadow that is in the cobra ranks is a Clone of SS that CC had made since the other has disappeared and has been using him to train a cobra Ninjar force. ie red ninjas, Ninja Ku, satan and other variouse Storm Shadow figures.

Mindbender is not one clone of the original but multiple clones that are running around (Ie Muntimplicity mabe a few clone of clones) CC has no idea so when he talk to one bender and then another it as if mindbender is really insane.

Rex I like the idea of him being Mindbenders successor. so he works with the first clone of mindbender.

Destro Baroness Zartan ect are the same with maybe some modern era back grounds.

troopers are troopers roc troopers are the next advancement for cobra troopers and are eventualy going to be a separate part of cobra.

Cobra Commander is actually a new person. Im thinking he was the originals protege and either killed him or he went into retirement Ie Dread Pirate Roberts Style. So no one has ever seen his face.

Serpentor has his own faction that is in hiding and building a force to try and take over a country. nemesis and other Cobra la types fit in this catergory. It going to be more mutations from botched experiments than the movie stuff.

For the majority of them, it's just a new look. Even Cobra Commander (although if I had the Rex he'd probably be Dr. Mindbender, but I don't have him yet.)

Ripcord is a different kettle of fish though. He's what I came up for with him.

If you remember, General Tommahawk's filecard stated that there was a security breach resulting in several Joes having to change codenames and other info. So when the old Ripcord came out as Halojumper, that's why. He had to officially change his codename. .

Years later, a those secruity problems were all fixed and several Joes went back to their old names. This is when the New Ripcord joined the team. Having the same real name as the old Ripcord, there was a mix up in the files and the codename Ripcord was flagged as being available for the New guy to take. And he did, much to the old Ripcord's displeasure.

Now the old Ripcord is stuck with Halo Jumper and irritated that the new guy has his codename, but he's too proud to admit that's his problem, denies it anytime the subject comes up, and refuses to accept the old codneame when when it's offered. This created a nice little bit of tension between the two guys.

And yes, I have no problem with them having the same real name. I live in Florida and work with a guy that has the same middle and last name that I do and is from Tennessee originally like I am. We're not related. It's just an odd little coincidence.

I think it's awesome how many people are running with a Cobra-La angle with the ROC toys. I am doing the same with my Royal Guards, though I want to see how Tomax's and Xamot's heads look on the bodies.

So far, I'm using everyone that I've got (ROC figs) as who they are named in the movie. That means I am adding some elements from ROC to my own continuity. CC and Rex are my first unmasked Cobra Commanders.

Of the ROC figures I don't have, I would rename several: Duke, Heavy Duty and Ripcord will become Grid-Iron, Double-Blast and Cool Breeze. Otherwise, I expect to use the ones released and announced pretty much all as named.

Some great ideas here! I'm definitely going with Cobra-La for the Royal Guards. Most of the other troopers will probably be folded into Destro's forces. Actually, now that I think about it, that's quite in keeping with movie continuity :whistling:

The grey camo scheme of the Joes fits nicely with my own custom 19th Division guys, so some of them may see double duty in Large Army!

Most of mine are getting folded into the 25th ranks, with a bit of customizing. I'm using a Viper Commando as a base for my Royal Guard, because I like the armor better. I want a Rex, for a still mostly human Golobulus. (I'm going for a crazed biotech research scientist, rather than an ancient civilization) Helix is becoming an updated Jinx, and Cover girl will get painted and modded to be a nice homage to the original.

Zartan is getting left as is. Mine came without the face paint/tattoos on the unhatted head, which just gives me more flexibility. For the most part it'll just be an MP, but it's a great disguise for the old Z man. I'll pop a 25th head on him, if I want him "unmasked." The Pit Commando is also getting left alone. He makes a great random rank and file character.

There really haven't been a lot of ROC figs I've been interested in. It's the POC figs I'm really looking forward to.

My current JoeVerse is a mix of 25th and ROC but with a twist. Most all my Cobra forces are from the 25th line while most all my Joes are ROC bodies with 25th heads.
The exceptions from the 25th line for Cobra are Destro (ROC version is now my default), Storm Shadow (ROC PP Version is now the head of Cobra's ninja forces with some ROC masked SS in there), Scarface (ROC Rex Lewis head on Flint in disguise body) and Vypra (ROC Pit attack Baroness). Also Cobra only uses the various "blueshirts" and Crimson Guards and some of the new ROC vehicles that work for me (like the Steel Crusher and maybe that new HISS but I'll have to see it first).
My Joe team takes a lot of influences from the classic Joes, La Femme Nikita (the TV series), ROC, Marvel Comics (especially Nick Fury: Agent of Shield, Captain America and Tales of Mystery) and Ghost in the Shell (movies and TV series). I've come to be ok with a large G.I.Joe organization but one that is broken down into smaller teams and cell for specific purposes. As it is now, the overall operation is run by General Hawk, with the primary strike teams and covert/undercover teams run by Col. Flint and his support staff (Breaker and Cover Girl so far). Currently the main strike team is Duke, Scarlett, Stalker, Beachhead, Airborne and Torpedo. A new unmasked and talking version of Snake-Eyes along with Helix and Bombshell (new character) are the covert/undercover team. Flash, that new character with the motorcycle that turns into armor(can't remember her name at the moment) and Accelerator Suit Duke (new codename coming) will be the advanced/experimental weapons development team. That's all I've got for the Joes so far but I'm sure I'll come up with some more stuff and members as new figures come out.
Some other characters that are out there in my JoeVerse:
ROC Firefly as just a merc for hire, ROC Cobra Commander with a paint job on his head as the Red Skull, ROC Vipers/Neo-Vipers as the Red Skull troops, The upcoming POC Zartan as himself as an assassin for hire, Zaranna as Zartan's sister and like Catwoman is to Batman she would be to Snake-Eyes, Red Fang (the ROC Red Fang Ninja but as a single character) as a ninja for hire and Captain America (the Ultimate version) as a Government sanctioned "super"hero that fights Cobra and the Red Skull and crosses paths with the Joes.

Cripcord?

I call him Ripoff.
He was a former thief from the city streets before he joined the army.
