Just picked both up and at $10 a piece, these are not too shabby. Lots of custome potential with the jeep-Warthog, VAMP 1 & 2, Cobra Stinger, and the hover craft is just as nice. Both are 2 seaters with plenty of room inside. And the hovercraft actually floats in the water.

I can definitely see GIJOE using those hovercrafts in battle. Seems like they are the perfect vehicle to have stationed at the TBP.

Love to see one in Coastie colors...although it does have a MARS look to it.

Snagged one of each today here at the local WM (guess they stocked mine the same time they stocked Slim's area) -- Very cool all the way around.

I may have to make my Warthog custom a "Joe-only" project, because even though my custom Master Chief is considerably smaller than the Halo 3 figs, he's still too big for the Warthog unless I do some major mods and chop out part of the interior. But then again, at $10 a pop, I may do just that

For those of you using Accelerator Suit-based Halo customs, this thing is perfectly sized.

The little Hovercraft is awesome as-is - I'm not even going to paint it, just peel the Corps! stickers off. I think I'll call it the "Dolphin" (smaller version of the WHALE).

Oh - and for those of you who find these - keep in mind that the little black piece that holds the missiles together is removable, and is apparently just for display to keep the missiles from falling out. When removed, you can fold down the missile launcher and hide it from view. Cool little feature.


Now if only Lanard could make figures half as good as they make their vehicles....

Ok, after several hours of work (painting, adding a windshield, some "battle damage", modding the cockpit for Chiefy, etc) - I've decided that the new rig probably ISN'T the best base for a Warthog. I haven't even bothered to put the turret on yet - I've wasted too much time on what I thought would be an easy conversion.





It's still pretty cool by itself, but just too clunky for a Warthog, IMO. Hopefully we'll get a right-sized one eventually.

*crosses fingers that the upcoming Mongoose quads sell like hotcakes and spawn more Halo vehicles*

I still think that looks pretty rad, though.

I plan on buying at least two of the Mongoose sets, maybe one of each if I can handle it, since there's three different sets just so I feel I did my part in trying to prove vehicles would sell well for the line.

Oh cool the hovercraft is a two seater. That makes it even cooler, so at that price I might have to get a few for a GI Joe beach landing team. Might make for a cool way to get the Joes onto Cobra Island.
