Now that Hasbro is showing a willingness to chum the waters with some smaller vehicles/playsets, ranging from the Target exclusives to the surveillance port, MMS, and LAW, what other smaller vehicles would you like to see? I'm not really limiting it to CLAW and similarly sized vehicles, just to smaller ones that can hit the 15-24 price point that seems to be the market these days. So, if you really love the Triple T, it could probably squeak by, but no TTBPs or Terror Dromes. Also, if you would, throw in what figure/figures you would like to have come with the vehicle, since I don't see us getting vehicles without figures anymore.
My list, broken down by affiliation:
Joes:
Devilfish - it's a fun little vehicle, and with all the divers and sailors we've received in the 25th and RoC lines, it'd be nice to have a boat for them to use. Put some long sleeved arms on Shipwreck, make him black and yellow, and now we have Marujo.
PAC/RATs - Again, fun little vehicles and they add a lot to dioramas. I'd love to get some updated versions of these to have tooling around Joe HQ, maybe with the PIT Commandos manning them. Downtown would fit in with these, and we have parts to make him, just need some web gear and a decent head. For the figure himself, we just need to slap together: Duke torso, Cobra Trooper/officer arms, Recondo thighs (can't remember who all has these, but Recondo is the only one I remember right now), and Zartan lower legs. I'd be happy with a different helmet than his Karate Tournament Headgear helmet.
Bivouac - This'd be great for Outback. Sure, we've already gotten him twice, but I'd take another if it got this little scout set, maybe do him in Tiger Force colors.
MANTA - Again, with the divers and sailors we have, watercraft are needed. This was a fun little sail board that I'd like to have a few of. Throw it in with a Chuckles and call it "Island Infiltration" or something. Or maybe give us a TF Recondo, Muskrat, or Recoil.
Bomb Disposal - Another good diorama filler that I had a lot of fun with as a kid. Package it with a black and gray Tripwire, who fits in with the RoC figures in those colors, but the fans can just call him Blades, or maybe a Lightfoot.
Cobra:
Dreadnok Air Assault and Ground Assault - We've already received the four original vehicles they were remolds of, so there'd be no tooling involved, just mold them in the Dreadnok colors, release them, and make boatloads of money from the fans who want them. Use these as ways to give us Gnawgahyde (with the FANG repaint), Thrasher (with the Stinger/Vamp repaint), Road Pig (with the RAM repaint), and Zanzibar (with the Sky Hawk repaint). Bonus: Since the new vehicles are distinct from the originals, even if the colors are dead on, there's no passing them off as originals, so it shouldn't step on the toes of vintage collectors.
ASP (regular and Python Patrol) - this was my first Cobra vehicle and I played with it until it literally fell apart. I love it and would like to see an update that was a bit roomier, and maybe instead of just the roll cage hatch, give it an enclosed canopy like they did with the Sky Hawk. Maybe throw in a HEAT Viper to fire it and a Laser Viper to spot for him.
Buzz Boar - Yes, I'm serious. I loved this thing when I was a kid. It was goofy, unrealistic, and fun. It had missiles, it had guns, AND it had a big honking saw blade it could use to cut through anyone or anything. Maybe include a Nitro Viper molded and painted to look more like a Moto-Viper, since it's supposed to be a fast vehicle and MVs love speed.
Adder - Cobra needs small vehicles that can pack a wallop. This fits the bill. There are enough good parts out there to piece together a WORMS, so then just make his helmet and throw him in with this.
Cobra Bunker - Another great diorama piece. I never got one as a kid, because I didn't like that it was only a half-bunker. That bothered me for some reason. I'd still prefer if it was fully enclosed, with the ability to separate it for interior views and figure setup. Maybe give us two figures with this, with a couple of Night Vipers, or maybe a Night Viper and a Frag Viper.
