Decided to hop over there and see if they had any of the new stuff listed (they do), and did a search "entire site" for "GI Joe". It comes back saying, "Did you try looking in the GI Joe Shop?" and directs me here: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=1046379
Since they're setting up a designated subsection of the site just for GI Joe, maybe they'll start giving Joe more attention?

Well, this is purely speculation, but most mass merchandise retailers -- Target and Wal-Mart leading that pack, obviously, tend to be rather stingy with shelf space in their toy departments. Opening a "G.I. Joe Shop" on Wal-Mart.Com might be Wal-Mart's way of carrying a larger supply of G.I.Joe product without it taking up actual store shelf space -- just warehouse space. If this can operate on the "Site to Store" procedure as well, wouldn't that also negate shipping fees (never used it myself, so I don't know).

Both Wal-Mart and Target seem to have devoted a HUGE amount of space to Transformers, and that doesn't seem to be being altered much for G.I.Joe. The other two "summer movie toy" lines, Star Trek and Terminator, are rather clearly on their way out.

Never saw this before, expected it to be a GI Joe vehicle:

Not true. My Target has replaced the extra Transformer space with G.I. Joe stuff.
Target.com also has a G.I. Joe movie store.
My Walmart only got the role play RoC stuff out. Star Trek has been price cut to $4.97.

I LOL'ed at Ice Dabber, and my wife asked me what was funny, so I told her it's this walmart thing. They have a Joe vehicle listed as ICE DABBER. She gave me a horrified look and said "Good God, why in the world would they name a toy THAT?!"

She thought I had said "EYE STABBER."

Now she's not talking to me because I laughed so hard. I'm still giggling the next day.

There was an Eye Stabber vehicle at one time. Major Bludd, Zanzibar, and Dr. Mindbender tested it. Mindbender was the lucky one and just needs the monocle.

Just from personal observation, Wal-Mart has been snubbing the GIJoe line. TRU has a good stock of items, a couple of exclusives, and put up a display at the front of the store that was shared with the Transformers stuff. Target had 3 solid endcaps full of stuff, more stuff in the usual location, and will be getting some really nice exclusive sets soon. I went into a Wal-Mart 2 days after the original street date of the figures and did not find a single GIJoe toy. Nothing in any form. I haven't been back since but still, that is just not acceptable. Personally, I am avoiding Wal-Mart for any toys these days. And this isn't because of a boycott or anything. They just never have what I want on any toy line. So really, I just don't bother.

You may want to check again. The Walmart closest to me is usually horrible about putting out Joe stuff (they've had the same two single carded Mass Device element CCs on the peg for several months, and nothing else), but even they put up one of those big free-standing cardboard display racks recently full of the new movie figures and vehicles.
